Default April Goals

Hard to believe it, but we are a week away from April! I like to make goals on a monthly basis- you know just a few little things that help me be better at WW or better in general. It is much easier than trying to change everything about everything all at once. Sooooo, here are my goals for the month:

1. Get my healthy oils in each day
2. Get 28 activity points a week. Every week.
3. Be mindful of licks, tastes, nibbles, and overflowing measuring cups- they. all. count.
4. Just say no- to all the things that compromise my time for myself, overextend me, aren't fair to me, and stress me out. Take my life back, basically.
5. Only weigh and measure once a week. Yes, even the measuring tape can take over your life.

ETA: What are your goals? Is there anything that you are going to conciously work on this month?

Hey futurepixie,

I agree with you wholely. Those little goals do help tremendously.

My goals are to:
1. Drink my water every day.
2. Do some sort of exercise everyday
3. Try my best to stay within my points
4. Lose some weight. Not going to set an actually amount because any amount is good.
5. Not beat myself up and sabatoge myself if I do go a little overboard.

I like having this thread on the front page of the WW General board- although it is only 4 days into the month I am not doing so hot. Perhaps I should re-evaluate / step it up a bit. I think that 28 activity points a week was a biiiiiiit lofty. I have such a hard time knowing the difference between pushing myself to do well, and running myself into the ground. Such a fine line sometimes.

Yeah, 28 APs is a lot. Maybe you could strive to work up to that many by the end of the month? Be careful not to try to do much all at once, it is very easy to burn out on exercise (I know I have done that in the past!).

Good luck!

I think that I just don't have to time to do that much exercise right now. I know that sounds like a cop out, but 28 APs doesn't allow for any lighter days, or busy days or off days even! And an off day still usually consists of at least a nice 30 minute walk in the evenings. So, i think that I will just keep working on building my stamina with running and stuff. and i am still not doing so hot at my oils either. hmph!

I have a hard time with my oils too! I am not sure why they are so hard. I will have to try harder!

i think that they are so hard because we are constantly restricting fats and oils- baked not fried, low fat mayo & salad dressing, margarine not butter, cooking spray not oil, etc. it is hard to do that and then not restrict the good ones too.

I know that it doesn't officially count, but i still try to eat nuts, salmon, avocado and stuff to get some of the good fats in. Who would have thought that an overwieght person would have such a hard time eating oils and fats?
