Hi everyone! I am considered new to this site since it has been so long since I have been actively on the 3FC site. My name is Laura and I remember when we first started the 30something threads years ago!! I am the typical yo-yo'er. I have lost the same 50+ pounds numerous times. I usually stick to it very well when losing, something happens (usually the compliments) and then I start slipping up and gaining the weight back again. The good news I am not at my heaviest weight now. My highest was in Jan 2001 when I weighed 313 pounds! (I am 5'8). Now I am in the 260's, so atleast it's not as bad as it could be!!I am looking forward to getting to know you all and get started over again. I will weigh myself tommorow morning for my official starting weight.

Everyone, Laura originated the 30 Something's thread!! She used to remind us all the time that everytime we lost a pound it was like 4 sticks of butter. I'm soo glad you're back hon!! You'll recognize me, Vicki (Roadrunner) and Karen (karenk)...we're the only originals left. Dani popped in a few years ago briefly, but haven't heard from her since.

Hi Laura!!!!

Well, I want to just THANK YOU for being the one (according to Lauren) who got this whole 30 somethings off the ground from idea stage to reality! I absolutely love it here-it's amazing how much of a difference it makes to have other women (and men) your own age share similar experiences-especially relating to weight challenges. I'm here not only to garner support in my goals, but hopefully to change a few lives (or minutes within those lives) in the process.

Hey Lauren!!! It's funny, I remember you but wasnt sure you would remember me. Do you remember when you came to Nags Head and came up to see me? I was so terrible with the directions but you found the mall and we had lunch. I think Logan was 4 or 5 then. Now he will be 12 in April. I divorced my first husband and now am remarried to a great guy. We have a two year old, Olivia-so I have been busy. Looks like you have been too with 2 boys!
I need to lose this weight before I am a 40 something
I have another 14 months but it will be here before you know it!
Thanks again for the updates and welcomes. I look forward to checking in. This seems to help knowing I have to own up to how I've been doing. I have a lot of butter sticks to burn!! I had forgotten about that!!

Laura, How could I forget meeting you!! My whirlwind, last true roadtrip while single thing! That was June 1999, I met DH in July 1999. It's all downhill from there, he's not a roadtrip kinda guy. Yeah, I remember we went to the food court and had Chick-fil-a! How's that for a memory? Of course i remember the bad stuff.

Wow, congrats on the remarriage and the sweet girl! I cannot believe Logan will be 12!! Please post some pics!! I've got some of my guys that I've gotta get off the camera and posted! We've both got lots more sticks of butter than we started with.

I don't know if you noticed or not, but we've been doing a daily check-in, the weekly got too confusing to keep up with, since we gained a lot of new people. We do one thread for the weekend, since it's a little slower.

I thought it was Chic Fil A too, but wasnt positive so didnt mention it! I was thinking Logan was 4 and now I know for sure he was! He was born April 1995. I will get my husband to try to help me with the pictures. I am terribly computer illiterate, so I need help for sure. I just had the best picture taken of her yesterday at Picture People. She wasn't cooperating and I was gonna give up and then the photographer hung in there and got the cutest picture. I love that place, I have spent a lot of money there on pics!!
I will try to join in on the daily threads. I sometimes have a hard time keeping up with everyone. Does everyone check in every day? That may be hard for me with four kids. (oh yeah I have two step kids too--a boy Sean age 11, Kathryn age 9-they are here every Monday night-Tuesday night and every other weekend). Kinda crazy here sometimes!!
