Is everyone ready to say farewell to winter? It should be more like "good riddance!"
We're celebrating today by taking the girls skiing one last time. Cindy is picking me up here at the house, so that things convenient for me. It shouldn't be too cold in the mountains today, either.
What's everyone up to today?

Glorious sunshine today which may melt some of the blasted snow. I am not shovelling any more of it. Bring on Spring! (It's 23ºF and we may have a bit more snow but we're at the right end of winter.)

Today is an "at home" day except for pet therapy 5 to 7 tonight. I have a huge list to tackle and it must be done today as tomorrow is way over-scheduled. Why did I invite Christine for dinner? Maybe because it is my only free night until Sunday?

Just a few more decisions to make on the kitchen reno, The consultant says to count on 2 weeks or more but the manager says five days should do it! I like him a whole lot! I have to go to the shop tomorrow to pick out some back-splash tile, a wee vanity for the powderoom and some paint for the walls. They will do the painting too! Yippee!

I'd better get off my butt and tackle my list. Slow start this morning because there was a midnight howling competition between the wolves in the meadow and the village team - my two Girls plus the Beagles next door who sleep outside! Very funny but sort of cuts into your sleep, especially when they do encores.

So what's happening in your life today? Is it Spring yet where you are?

Good morning -

Not yet spring here, the high is not expected to get above 30* today, but possibly up to 60* by Thursday! Crazy spring weather!

Today is our first day of RA interviews. We do them for more than a week and will put in at least 25 hours before we are done. Three of my co-workers will be in each with me (we are the "upperclassmen residential area", the freshmen do seperate interviews). We all need to hire new people for the fall, usually about half our staff graduate each spring. I am certain three of us is pretty intimidating, but we are kind!

Off to put some lemon chicken into the crock pot, as i am certain I will want to crash when I get home tonight.

Have a wonderful day!

Ally

Morning, Chickies!!

How's everyone's day going? It seems like it will be a lovely day. Temp is 55*F and there is a slight chance of some rain this week. I'm sorry for those of you still dealing with snow...spring is SUCH a blessing!

I've been doing okay diet-wise. I've been eating more fruits and veggies and trying to lay off of the "bad" carbs. DH and the furbabies and I went on a good long walk last night. It was nice, but I ended up having to carry the little one (16 lbs.) half the way because he got worn out. So, I guess it was a double workout for me! (I was a bit embarassed to be carrying him around, but oh well!) I'm looking forward to starting P1, but there is NO way I could swing that next week. We'll be out in the remotest of remote doing appraisals and it just wouldn't be healthy to go out there carb-free. (We're actually notifying authorities of where we'll be each day so that if we don't check in by a certain time they can form a search party.)

NEWays, off to work for me! Got to get some things in the office done before our trip next week! Happy day!

Default Good morning !

Morning Chicks!
I got up early this morning and headed out to work. It's going to be one of those heads down at my desk days.
Last night we tried the infamous Taco bake for dinner. Can I just say wow? I meant to pack some up for my lunch today, but neglected too. Lunch will be something simple on my own. The cafe right here does a nice tuna salad that they are willing to do just on salad. Or I'll go to Jimmy Johns for an unwhich. (Sandwich wrapped in lettuce leaves, no bread)

It doesnt really feel like spring. It's a bit chilly out and well overcast.
I'm hoping tomorrow I'll be able to get up early enough to bike in to work.

There is no rain today, so I'll take it. Spring? Not so much yet. I guess I am becoming a BC person, a nice day is any day its NOT raining. heh.

It's nice to have the day off from work with no rain, I am hoping to convince the bf to go for a nice long hike today! We shall see, my neighbour wants me to go ice skating, go to a store about 1 hour away, to the mall, to the USA to go to outlets. I just don't think this is all going to happen in the next 6 hours though.

I gotta run, but I shall be back later!

Good morning Yes it is still morning on the West Coast.

Off to get my nails done today then to the grocery store. Not sure what is for dinner tonight but gonna take quick look at the recipes before I go. I am thinking some kind of fish.

The weather here was beautiful over the weekend then yesterday it started pouring down rain and this morning wasn't looking too good but now the is out.

I probably won't make my March goal since I keep bouncing between one up from the starting point and one pound down from the starting point. Ouch!!! Need to us some

Had my morning smoothy and green tea so off for the day.

I've been approved to take Thursday off as a comp day. I really need it after all the hours I've been working lately. I'll also go in for my blood pressure check that day. And I have a bunch of errands I need to do for Scouts plus I need to get our income taxes done.

Tonight is a den meeting. I'll be teaching the boys their Music beltloop which should be fun. I've done it several times before so the material is all ready. I've got stuff planned the next couple of nights too.

Sounds like we all have HUGE lists to do...it's obviously the end of winter! I hope we can all take the time to be gentle with ourselves about what we can actually accomplish each day. I have such trouble with that!

Ruth, your kitchen plans sound marvelous! I expect tons of pictures, chicky...so fire up that digital camera! Oh, and maybe throw an apron on each of the girls. They can pose in the new kitchen like those 50's wives...with a fluffy apron and pearls. Seriously, what fun it must be to pick all the new stuff out and have someone else do it!!!

Have fun 'skiing' Cottage! What book are you working on today? You do my kind of skiing.

LC, what happened to DD's eye? Hope it's better soon!

I'm off to the P.O. to mail a package, pick up drycleaning, and then need to try to do some cleaning around here while making a quick dash to the psychi for an appointment and then off to choir practice. Yikes!

Have a good day, chickies, and stay warm!

Evening ladies. I'm definitely ready for spring here, I'm starting to see signs of it already. I took a break from the internet last week, getting over a cold and long nights with a teething baby. My diet slacked a bit but nothing too serious, I've kept up with my exercise though.
