Default New Today

I just joined earlier today and have already read so many interesting posts. I think that I am really going to like it here.

I've been lossing weight for the past 6 months and lost 60 pounds, but I have stalled out some this past 3 weeks. I know that it is pretty a typical to have a plateau. I am hoping by reading and posting on these message boards will help me keep my focus on the long term goal.

Thanks for reading my story and getting to know a little about me. I'm looking forward to getting acquainted with all the great people here.

Sorry for taking so long to check back and thanks for showing an interst.

I've basically eating less and exercising more. I go to a gym 6-7 days a week. I started out following a low fat, diebetic diet so I could get my blood sugar numbers under control. Now that I have done that, I basically have reduced portion sizes, cut out just about all fast food, and eat a large salad almost every day.

I've stalled out the past month though. So I'm trying to find my grove back, I think that I have finally found it as I have lost 2 pounds this week already.

I think that early spring weather has helped some. Might just be what I needed.

Welcome! And congrats on your weight loss so far! This is a great place for support, inspiration and ideas! I joined here after I'd lost 15-20 pounds and have loved it ever since! (100 more pounds!)

You may find some forums to call home. If nothing else, check out the maintainer's forum! A great place to meet people maintaining weight losses!!! There's also the 100 pound club which may be helpful for you! (under support groups)

Welcome MNBlueyes!

Congratulations on your 60 pound weight loss!

I was stalled for a good long while around that time, too! Maybe our bodies are just shocked about what's happening to them! Anyway, I finally was able to get the ball rolling again thatnks to one of our BIGGEST LOSERS here on this site (rockinrobin, who has lost 106 pounds since September!). She suggesteted that I log onto Fitday. It's free and really helped me get my act together! Seems that I was eating A LOT more calories than I THOUGHT I was eating! I've lost thirteen pounds since the end of January after having been at 210 for eight months!

Here's the site: www.Fitday.com

Keep up the GREAT work! You can do this!

Cheryl
