I lost two pounds, so now I'm at 201. Sooooo close to getting under 200! The good news, though, is that my BMI is now under 30, so I'm classified as "overweight" instead of "obese." Finally!!
My current weight (according to my scale a few minutes ago) is 256.6. I'm right back where I started at. What can I do differently to help jump start my weight loss? I've been following along with my FPs for WW and started excerising but apparently it's not helping. Help?

Are you using weights? Drinking all your water? I personally have been very bad about walking these past two weeks, and while I got down to a low of 155.6- the first time in seven years- I am now back up FOUR POUNDS! YUCK! I know its due to going off plan and not walking every day... I also wasn't drinking the minimum of four 20oz. bottles of water every day. I'm back OP this week and hope to see a change by next Tuesday.
Did you know you're never supposed to have a Monday WI day after the weekend? Because you use your flex points (ok, well I use flex points ) on the weekend.. you should always have a tuesday, wednesday or thursday WI day
Lisa - congratulatiuons on the 2 pounds gone! Congratulations on your change of BMI classification - that is a real accomplishment! You'll be in a new century in no time.
Mama Angel - How long a period of time are you talking about when you say you are right back where you started? If it's the same week as you weighed last time, keep in mind that our weight fluctuates a lot in a week and can vary for any number of reasons: weather, salt intake, etc. It sounds like you are doing what you need to do. Are you weighing and measuring? Are you getting in all your water? Are you journalling everything? Those BLS's (bites, licks and tastes) can really derail your weight loss if you don't count them. Check the sodium content of what you are eating too. The important thing is that you are doing what you need to do (including exercising). The weight will come off. You might also try keeping track of your measurements. Lots of times we lose in inches first and the scale catches up a little later. BTW, my husband and I just planned a trip to Alaska for this summer - we're very excited to be getting up your way.
I had a little 0.2 loss this week but I guess that's OK since we were away for a few days (and there was a little bit of very early, chocolate birthday cake), and my exercising was light (just yoga) because I'm was still recovering. Given that my birthday is only a month away, I've decided to change my goal from getting to my goal weight (9 pounds or so) to getting into the 130's (5 pounds). I don't know exactly what I want my goal weight to be yet and I think it's too much to expect myself to lose 9 pounds in a month. I don't want to set myself up for failure so I think my new goal is a good one. Just being in the same decade as my eventual goal weight is good - I'm planning on getting to goal weight this spring.
The good news is that I am feeling a lot better. I did some great yoga workouts (backbends) that really helped my breathing over the weekend. I've even done a little cardio. Last night I did a (make-up) yoga class (90 minutes and tough) and have another yoga class tomorrow. I did a short yoga session before work this morning (tough to do at 5:15 after a week of vacation) and plan on walking on the treadmill after I do a little more work.
Carla - how are you doing?
Karen - are you still out there?
I will weigh in on the last day as always. NOthing is budging yet, 3/4th week now. Water weight again which seems to be chronic. On the 4th Im weighing in, to see if something will change. I do see some definition in my thighs, and hubby says he sees it in the rear, but I cant tell yet. Muscle still building? All my pants are still to tight. I won't give up hope..THis sight was in the Oprah magazine by the way! OH, my cousin inlaw wants me to join curves/im not sure that would be enough right now, seeing im doing a ton of cardio in a week. I went 2 weeks with her, I never got my heart rate up to where I wanted it..anyhow, if anyone can tell me the longest they have seen someone start to loose some inches, I would greatly apprechiate it. It can either make me feel worse, or better, I am prepared for either non the less...and, its dumping snow on us, supposed to get 2 feet..guess jogging outside is out of the question..I am now just starting to obtain the thing called runners high..I never believed it, but after getting into a sweat with my exercise, I feel like a 20 year old, so rejuvinated! HOpefully this hard work will pay off soon, or hope will be lost...and I will buy a box of doughnuts! Never! I think I must have the most stubbornest metabolizm in the world..
Don't have time for a long post, but I was down 2.5 this week. However, I've been terrible all week since, so I'm probably going to have a terrible weigh in next week. I'm just having so much trouble staying on plan lately, I don't know what is up with me.
Congrats to the losers, hugs to those who are struggling!
