Default What workout to choice for thunder thighs????

I was wondering if anyone has found a work out that will do wonders for you thighs? I have been doing Turbo Jam for about a month and a half now and have lost nothing off my thighs. That is one of the places I want to work the most. Any suggestions would be greatly apprieciated!

Thumbs up

I actually use the 8 minute series. As in 8 minute abs, arms, buns, and legs. They are cheesy as ****, but they do work and it is only 8 minutes for each set of exercises. They hurt a lot, but they work. And, they only hurt me because I have semi bad knees from my days as a catcher for softball. Good luck. I found them on Amazon.com.

Walking really helped me. I'm also finding nice success with step aerobics. I've heard that a person really can't spot reduce. Eventually everything shrinks, but the body parts that have been the largest from the beginning will be the last to get thin.

I'm doing Prevention fitness belly butt and thighs. Each area is only 10 min, but I feel it at the end..I do think my thighs are smaller, but I have also gotten smaller overall so.....

I agree with Cheryl14! Walking is great for the thighs! Also, those 8 min. workouts are great...you really work for those 8 mins! If you balance cardio and strength training, that is a more efficient way to burn fat and add muscle ( which takes up less room, but burns more calories...) so you are leaner AND stronger! Good luck with your efforts!

Thanks for your input!!! I am finally starting to loss a little. I lost 1/4 inch off each thigh. I have been doing turbo jam 5 days a week since mid january and was beginning to wonder. I did make one change since I posted. I was doing the sonoma diet and have since stopped it. I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

I swear by rebounding and Pilates. When I did 20-30 minutes of rebounding daily and Pilates twice a week I lost inches faster than ever before... or after, for that matter

I actually just started using these. My sister (a health and fitness addict) had a DVD with them and i tried them over the summer of 2006, and i thought that they were good workouts, so i decided to buy one of my own not too long ago.
also walking, jogging, and bike riding are also good ways to burn off that leg fat.
That's my goal right now, because everything i eat goes to the bottom...

Hmmm. Tae-bo, eh? I might have to try that.

I've alway had the lovely (not!) pear shape. Few years ago I worked my way back down to a size 6. Found stair climbing actually did the most for my hips and thighs. And as much as I hate the stairclimber - it was definately worth the 1/2 hour of h*ll.

I suggest trying "The Squeeze" workout. It is similar to Callanetics, The Bar Method, etc, but more fun, and it is super hard.

On Turbo Jam /any thigh exercise are you stretching your legs out far enough? Also people lose weight in some places faster then other based on your own body. For me I lost pnches/weight in my thighs and waist first then in other places.
