SQUAK!! hehe I saw the weekly cackle and I couldn't help myself. I am going to start to paint one of our rooms today but I wanted to check in with you guys and see what is going on.

Cathy my dad had type 2 but I don't remeber what they put him on. He had all sorts of things pop up right before he past away. My sister has to watch out though. I think they tould her that she is border line insulin resistant. She has started to watch what she eats and is losing some weight and I think she is going to have the tests run again in a few months. She had gotten pretty big so I think this may have been her wake up call. I am not saying your son needs to lose weight I am just making a connection and rambling at the same time.

Good Morning Everyone!

Not much new here, just cold and snowy, at least it beats the freezing rain we had a few weeks back. A's friend finally got her car back, so now I don't have to drive to town everyday! Hopefully I can get something done! Unfortunately I don't have any excuses now!

Anyhow must get at it
Take care all,
K

hey gang
I had NO internet service at work AGAIN today. grrrrrr I am lost without the internet. and now I'm at home and running around in circles ;-)

Kemp - I understand what you're talking about. I appreciate any info I can get. I really think his high insulin levels (even tho they are still in range, but high in the range) is probably caused by one of the pysch drugs he had previously taken before finding his thyroid problem. It is a side effect of one that he took. We do have diabetes on both sides of his family but on my side I feel it is Type 2 Diabetes brought on by weight. His faternal grandmother has diabetes and hers is not brought on by her weight. So it is a factor for our families but bec he eats healthier than most and exercises I'm thinking it was probaby brought on by taking a prescription drug. I'm really hoping and praying that perhaps taking the Glucophage for a short period of time will maybe get his insulin levels back on track.

Hey Leenie & Buddy

We have a bad storm heading into the area, so I'm gonna get off the computer and turn everything off.

Hope everybody has a great night
hugs,
Cathy

Good morning. I am so happy to see the sun today. It hasn't shown its face since Thursday of last week.

I am not really doing much today. I am trying to get myself together to head to the gym. I am more commfy in my jammies though so this is a tough one.

good afternoon gang

I had to get the internet people out here today to fix whatever was wrong with their cables - but hey - I have internet again. whooohooooo

We had the biggest storm last night. We must have gotten about 6 inches of rain in about 2 hours and had thunder and lightning and tornado warnings and all the stuff that storms are made of.

Kemp? did y'all get any of that weather last night? congrats on making it to the gym. I didn't get up in time today *sigh*

Leenie - how was that 3 hour seminar? yikes!

Buddly - fish tanks to clean? oh boy! that does not sound like fun. Since the cookie jar is empty you'll be baking? do you have some healthy cookies that you make? if so (if there is such a thing) i'd love a good recipe for some healthy cookie

Hope everybody has a great day!
hugs,
Cathy

Good morning.

Cathy we didn't get any of that rain. It misted for a few hours but is mostly formed on the other side of Houston and headed your way.

I am going to make some lasagna (from scratch) and open a bottle of wine. Joe was worried that I didn't want to do ahything and I really don't want him to buy me anything. I told him that the best Valentine's we had was a few years ago. It was raining and he cooked dinner and we had a bottle of wine. There was nothing on tv so we got on ebay and had fun looking at onld toys we used to have and how much they are actually selling for. Ijust thought it was great that we were together.

gooooooooood morning gang

I got the BEST Valentines present EVER!!!!! we don't usually do all the commercial stuff on Valentines Day, and honestly, every day or any day can be Valentines Day at my house. My dear hubby is great about making sure I feel special. But over the weekend we had decided to buy a nice fancy shower head with all the different settings so we got that saying that would be our Valentines gift to each other.

BUT....yesterday when I got home I realized that my WHOLE house was cleaned SPOTLESS. My dear hubby had spent the day cleaning the whole house. from 8 am til 4 pm - man can that clean or what!!! He cleaned EVERYTHING. OH MY GOSH - I was SHOCKED - and soooooo THRILLED! Told him he is the sexiest man alive I mean he already was but with a clean house he was even sexier LOL

The only thing I did was surprise him with a singing valentine card, and brought home his favorite pizza for supper before we ran out the door to youth services at church.

hope everybody has a GREAT day!
hugs,
Cathy

Good afternoon!!!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Cathy what a wonderful surprise, I guess you'll keep him?!?
Kemp hope you enjoyed your lasgana. Sounds like a wonderful everning to me.
Leenie, did you enjoy your snuggle time with your dd? I sure miss those times with mine.

Pretty quiet around here, hubby is on the road but should be home tonight. B made a heart shaped cake last night tho. Cathy, the cookies I made were Chocolate chocolate chip so not at all healthy. We are getting a lot of wet yucky snow so I had to drive girls to the uni this morning and go and pick them up at 5:20 tonight. I should have stayed in town as I had problems seeing where our road was and I'm not sure about backing out of the driveway later. The snowblower won't start again (it did work for awhile) so I think I'll be getting a lot of exercise later.

Anyway I should get going and get something done.

Take care everyone,
K

Man is it nice to have somewhere to go now. I like working with my friend and can't believe she is going to pay me for it. What an added bonus.

Cathy what a great man! When mine cleans he can't get out of the kitchen. He is so anal about things he find the weirdest stuff to clean. I con't compain though, one less thing for me to do.

Bud I don't envy you with the snow. It is cold here, at least for here. Tonight is supposed to be 26.

Leens I had to laugh, VD. Sorry, I know what you meant but I read it the other way. Dinner was great, in fact we are having the leftovers for dinner.

Hiya, I'm new to 3fc, so figured I'd check in. I'm doing really well on the weight loss part of my life. I started WW in March of last year, and down almost 60 pounds. My trouble is lately I've been getting more and more stressed, depressed, and anxious. And I'm not sleeping well. Which adds to all of it. It makes a wonderfully vicious circle. I'm working on the sleep, and the stress, and hoping that as I'm better rested the depression and anxiety will ease.

Oh, and for the curious, the handle is squishied red dress, not reddress.... *LOL* I didn't even think of that when I chose it!
