I thought I heard once that your metabolism goes up when you are sick.
Seems likely given my current situation. I had already lost my water that I lose when I stop exercising because I have been injured and my family has been sick. Now I am sick (for the past week) and I am losing faster than before. I know I am slightly dehydrated no matter how much I drink, but still.
Will be interesting to see what happens when I recover, how much is real and how much is water.
I got a very bad case of food poisening a few months ago. I lost about 5 pounds in 2 days but put back on about 5 or 6. It was a total wash, and in the end I didn't even lose any net weight that week at all (and this is after easing into eating again slowly over the following few days). That's why I'm careful to always eat enough as I'm sure my metabolism slowed down immediately when I couldn't eat.
