Hiya! My name is Samantha and I'm 43, single, and live in Chicago. I've had a weight problem ever since I went to college - I left home at 5' tall and 125 lbs and wore a size 14 - still 5' tall and somewhere around 210 after working out hard since October 2006 and weighing at least 240.
My goal weight is about 160 but if I make it, I'm not opposed to wearing a size 12 or 14. Ha ha, right?
I'm a consultant and am presently working at home, which is better for the weight loss effort - able to exercise when I like it and I can cook my own meals as opposed to being dragged off to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner 'cos it's right near the office.
I'm doing the Shangri-La diet and using Bodyflex daily as well as pilates and yoga on alternating days. I just ordered the new Abdonda for Shapely Secrets since I liked Greer's other programs so well.
Very excited to be on a board with other folks who understand the chronic dieting syndrome as well as with folks who realize that our working out is a little bit different from other programs. And also to supporting and answering the questions I can from others.
Bearing all this in mind - is there a group out there that I might fit? I'm in my 40s, a chronic dieter, frequent exerciser, not a religious person, and I adore animals.
