Default No motivation!

Hi everyone!

I started dieting at the beginning of January and have so far lost about 7lbs. That said, I got back from a week-long holiday a few days ago and now that I no longer have to wear a bikini, I'm finding it very difficult to restart my diet.

I've noticed a huge difference in my body since I started the diet, and I'm not nearly as uncomfortable as I was a few pounds heavier. I am, however, far from where I want to be. Unfortunately, because I don't have a scary goal anymore (e.g. beach holiday!) I'm just not that motivated. My diet is still better than it was last year though.

I ate what I wanted on holiday, but also exercised a lot, so I didn't gain any weight. Since I've been back I'm still trying to eat healthily, but not dieting per se. Lots of vegetables, not much bread/pasta/meat. I'm allowing myself little treats here and there, but I know that that can easily get out of control. I just hope I don't regain all the weight I've already lost!

Ok! While I understand where you guys are coming from, everyone is built differently. While my BMI may suggest that I'm at a healthy weight, I am, in fact, quite small boned. The majority of my excess weight is fat, both visible and visceral. I have all the unsightly flab you can imagine (though I'm sure you'd rather not!)

Well...even if you don't have motivation, and you WANT to lose weight, then the best thing you can do is sit down, create a easy to remember plan, and do it!

I've been binging for a long long time...about a year...and I was waiting and waiting for motivation. I didn't get any at all.

It wasn't until I just started it and did it that I started getting my motivation. And even if that motivation doesn't come, you don't need motivation to lose weight. It makes you happier and more determined, but it doesn't get it off quicker. It's y our self control that does it.

I find that motivating people on this site helps me to feel a little motivated...so hopefully we return it back to each other.

If you want to lose fat and remain a healthy weight, then take up weight lifting and cardio exercise. You will reshape your body and won't risk an unhealthy low weight.
