Default Fresh breath advice needed

Hi

I've recently cut out additives and processed food from my diet and am doing well, however the one area I'm struggling with is finding a substitute for sugarfree mints/gum which I usually eat whilst I'm a work (not that many - just to keep my breath fresh between snacks, after lunch etc.)

Can anyone suggest anything? I already avoid obviously strong/spicy food (garlic, onions etc.) and know about parsley being good but I don't want to attract attention by chewing it at my desk (same reason for not brushing my teeth at work).

All I've found so far is natural peppermint tea but I'm sick of drinking it all day....

Any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

I have some licorice "digestive" aids. It is pretty good stuff. I first found it at an Aveda salon but they stopped carrying it so I ordered it directly from the website:

You might want to check some of your indian markets? I know a lot of indian restaurants around here have after dinner licorice "things". Or you can try searching online to see if there are any UK suppliers of a similar item or even the same item.

Fennel seeds?

Wish I could find the fennel seeds they have at Indian restaurants where a few of them are covered in a sugary coating... can't be that many calories...

Licorice tea. Parsley tablets. Water with a few drops of peppermint essential oil sprinkled in (love this).

I'm glad I found this thread. I am also looking for great alternatives to gum. I steer clear of artificial sweeteners, but also don't want to bath my teeth in sugar. Thanks for the great tips ladies!
