hey ladies,
i just found out my good friend is probably ganna get married (she got pregnant but she has always had miscarriges so if she loses this baby she might not get married) but anyways i'm in the wedding. so yeah i was just wondering what you guys thought was a realistic goal weight for then??? i want to set a realistic goal and then a more far fetched goal so i will def. accomplish the realistic one and maybe even more since i'm going to be working to meet the far fetched one. does that make since??? a mind game thing??? so yeah id love the feed back!!!

Well, I'm aiming to hit another 10 lbs by April, but my weight loss is probably going to be slower than yours now that I've reached this weight. When I was near your weight, a realistic goal for me in that time period (depending when in April the wedding will be held) would probably have been 20 lbs (2 lbs a week for the 10 weeks until mid/end of April).

A somewhat loftier goal might be to lose 10% of your body weight (31 lbs) - that amount has been shown to make a significant difference in health.

most experts say 1-2 lbs. a week is healthy weight loss (anymore and you'll be losing muscles and other tissues too, which isn't good) ~ I'd stick with 1.5 pound a week, a bit challenging, but not nearly as extreme as 2 pounds.

And of course, keep it consistent, and don't beat yourself over it if you happen to slow (or gain) or if you slip up from your diet/exercise routine. Just keep at it!

brat 61886 - is that ms. spears on your icon? that is motivation enough for me to want to be healthy. shows what can happen when you completely stop working out and start eating junk all of the time. no one is immune to the terrible weight monster, not even celebrities.
