Default Race for Life

I thought I'd start a new thread for this in case people don't read the chat thread.

Race for Life entries are now open.

This is a fantastic way to get active. It was the first race I did back in 2005, and it really doesn't matter whether you run or walk, mix the two, or push prams.

I'm actually probably not doing it this year because the one in my local park isn't happening this year (boo hiss), and I'm outgrowing charity 5ks a bit. Not that there's anything wrong with them, but I prefer longer races without the fundraising. I was going to volunteer to marshall or hand out goodie bags instead, but I'm not so sure now they've moved the race. We'll see.

Anyway, that shouldn't stop anyone else signing up!

Apparently that's the best one to do, have fun!

(I'm still annoyed they've moved mine).

Hey - I've encouraged another runner! I doubt she'll actually run the Watford one with me, but I shall pace her I showed her the couch to 5k plan and told her that just over a year ago I could barely run for 10 seconds. I overheard her talking to a trainer in the gym that she's signed up for the Race for Life, then she came and did some brisk walking on the treadmill that she gets into the groove!

The plan for world domination is coming on nicely mwah hah hah...

One of my running club friends is volunteering at Temple Newsam too, so I think I'll definitely do that.
