Smile Newbie! *waves*

Hiya everyone,

I'll start from the beginning I think..

When I was younger I was only a little bit on the heavy side, never overweight, but never slim. When I was ~18 I was nearer to being slim, as I had a much more active life.. then at ~20 I started putting a bit of weight on and I got to around 154lb, and at this point I moved out of my parents to live with my current bf. In the space of a year I put on 44lb, and hit 198lb! It wasn't until last January where I decided I needed to sort myself out and start losing this weight, so I started myself on a slightly unhealthy regime of not a lot of food! I was averaging on around 1000 calories at the most a day I guess, slowly increasing it up to a more healthy amount. In 5 months I was down to 160, and at that point I moved out of the place with my bf, and moved down to London, and then the past 6 months I've slowly losing the rest of the weight. Before Christmas I was down to 149/150lb, quite steadily, but I put on a few pounds over Christmas and I'd now like to reach my final goal! I'm lacking motivation a lot at the moment, and would like to reach 142lb. As of this morning I was 154lb (Heavy weekend of eating and drinking!) so I have 12lb to lose.

The lack of motivation is due to the fact I'm a "healthy" weight now and I don't look overweight, but I'd still feel happier being a bit slimmer, and I'm not totally happy with my body at the moment.

Sorry for this being quite so drawn out And I look forward to meeting you all and hearing your stories.

Kat

Hi Katteh,

to the site, well done on your loss so far, I don't think I could go that low in calories without thinking my throat had been cut and nothing was getting to my tum but it has worked for you, so well done.

Come and join us in our chit chat thread... we talk about all sorts... some of us need to lose big, some of us are already big losers, but we're all lovely and friendly... see you over there

Hello Kat and to UK Fat Chicks

Well done on your weight loss so far - I'm sure you'll lose the rest of it over the next few months.

I know what you mean about lack of motivation....

Hi kat and welcome.

I've found your post interesting because I have never managed to get down to a proper weight either. I'm currently around 152 (bad for my height) but I'm usually around 140-143 and at that weight I look fine - not my definition of slim but fine. I can't really remember the last time I was under 140 but it must have been 10 years ago nearly and it's for exactly the same reason as you've said.

Anyway, I've made a good start with the support of this site so good luck and post loads. Also check out the featherweights section.
