Question How can I find out how many calories were in my tossed salad for dinner?

lol. ahh. So, Mom & I made a tossed salad with practically everything in it.

Green Peppers
Onions
Tomatoes
Lettuce
Cucumber
Celery

and I had about one and a half..two cups of it. I need to put it into my fitday, but I have NO idea how many calories were in it. Probably not that much.. I used fat free ranch dressing on it...two servings...100 calories...so...It probably wasn't too bad..hopefully...

Help?

Thanks in advance.

The veggies you listed are so low in calories, many diet plans wouldn't even count them - you've probably got 50 calories tops (if the salad were nearly all tomato and sweet onion and hardly anything else). A stalk of celery has 5 calories or less, and a whole cucumber, under 20. Most lettuces are just a few calories per cup.

Try Calorie King, com. That'll at least give you a rough idea of how many calories.

That salad sounds good, now you have me wanting one!

Search "lettuce, salad" in fiday and select the one that fits your salad, then just add the dressing seperatly.

I also cooked some chicken breast tenderloins without oil or anything to cut up in the salad. It WAS delicious. With some fat free ranch dressing, and some garlic powder (I put that on practically everything..lol) and some ground red pepper. Also had some raspberry seltzer H20.

One site I really like for figuring stuff like this out is this:
http://www.fitwatch.com/database/analyzer.php

It works more for baked things, I guess, but it might work for salads too. The layout is a pain in the butt but basically you put in all your ingredients, the number of servings it made, and it'll tell you the whole nutritional value of the outcome!
