Hi I'm new to this site. I've had two beautiful girls in two years and now that the youngest is weened I want to get my body back. I always weighed between 117 and 128 and I find myself at 160 and not liking it at all. Are there any other mothers out there in my situation, and if so what did you do? I'm in need of a little inspiration.
I also just weaned my youngest (who is 6 months). I have a TON of weight to lose. I spent most of my pregnancy on bedrest and bored out of my mind so I just ate the whole time! Now I am paying! After my second baby I (also on bedrest with that one) I went from 185 to 127 so I know I can do it, it's just a matter of getting started. Now my goal is to go from 195 to 135 which is a reasonably nice weight for me.
Mine will be six months on Feb. 16th. It's great to hear that you were able to lose the weight from your prior pregnancy. I've heard that the longer you keep the weight on the more difficult it is to lose. I didnt lose the baby weight from my first pregnancy and got pregnant again when my first was nine months and I was still nursing. I don't want to make the mistake of not taking off the weight. And I'm tired of my clothes not fitting me!
I had my first two back to back too. My oldest was 10 months when I got pregnant with my second. I had about 20 pounds on me from my first pregnancy yet when I got pregnant with the second. I managed to lose the weight from both by the time my second turned one.
That's my goal now. To lose the baby weight by the time the baby is one. I'm not sure I'll be able to lose all 60 by then, but maybe 40? I would like SOMETHING of mine to fit. I refuse to buy new clothes because that would be like admitting that I'm actually this weight so all I have to wear are pregnancy pants and the bigger and baggier tops I had.
ACH! Today is my first full out dieting day. Hope it goes well! Good luck to all of us trying to lose the baby fat.
