Default Favorite Bread

Can anyone tell me your favorite sliced bread - brand and exact name. We've been reading bread labels (and everything else in the store) since starting LAWL.

Grocery shopping is no longer the quick routine!

My favorit bread is the Country Hearth Lite wheat or 12 grain bread. They are btoh really good, moist, and don't taste much like light bread at all. My family will not eatt he 12 grain bread, but it's becasue it has sunflower seeds in it, and it freaks them out. LOL!

Hope this helps you!

I realize this is more mainstream and generic, but I've switched to the Wonder light white and my kids haven't noticed a difference. The Wonder light Italian bread seems to keep longer than the others, though. (preservatives? Haven't checked the label to find out.)

We usually buy "Nature's Own" Whole Wheat Lite.. 40 calories a slice and quite a bit of fiber, if I recall correctly.. It's actually really good stuff...

Wonder also makes a decent lite Italian bread.. But since brown starchs are better for us, we rarely buy it..

Nature's Own Double Fiber Wheat. I wouldn't have noticed it because it does not say "Light" anywhere on the package.

Cassi--your bread looks great! I looked on their website--the map doesn't show to be all the way up to the panhandle but I am still going to look--it's really familiar sounding.

It's a purple and brown wrapper I think? Almost looks like a "healthy choice" style label. But since it's not labeled "Light", I never ever would have looked at it if one of the girls in the office didn't point it out to me.
