Hi everyone,
I'm a new member, 52-year-old single mom of 13-year-old special needs daughter whom I homeschool. Well, my weight has been up and down all my life, but now that I'm older it's been WAY up for the past 10 years. A few years ago I lost 60 lbs. on the lo-carb, but gained all of it back + more. What I hate is not having enough energy to do things I used to do, like X country skiing, etc. Heck, I can barely get through the regular day doing light stuff. I miss having the strength I used to have!!! I weight about 265 and it's slowing me down so much! I've felt so weak for so long that I'm starting to have visions of being fit and strong and wearing military fatigues to make the statement to MYSELF that I AM strong! LOL At this time in my life my weight is higher than ever. Also, it doesn't help that I'm on meds for bipolar, etc. I can't stop taking my meds though. I've considered the fat surgery, but am afraid it's too risky. In any case, here I am, happy to meet all of you and maybe get some information/support.
Thanks!
