I like doing crunches on my stability ball. I notice that you are under 5'4". Maybe you need a stability ball that is a smaller size than what is usually sold in stores (I think the size sold in stores is either 65 or 75 cm). I went to a sports medicine store and bought mine, 55 cm Thera-Band Professional Exercise Ball, red color. When you're sitting on the ball, your legs should be at a ninety degree angle. If the size of the ball isn't an issue, I really liked Denise Austin's book, Sculpt Your Body with Balls and Bands, for a lot of great ab exercises on the stability ball.
I also like The Firm's 5-day abs, a collection of ab exercises from their video series. It's an older VHS, so I'm not sure if it's still sold on their web site.
I like the 20 minute Winsor Pilates for abs. Any yoga and pilates, to me, really works your core/abs.
Doing 100 crunches just doesn't do it for me. I also think that cardio is necessary.
