Default Ugh! Has this happened to you?

I think I might kick the scale to the curb..... Everytime I start a diet I seem to shoot up a few pounds before I drop. I know this is normal for me, but it's soooo discouraging.

Does this happen to anyone else? I always weigh myself in the morning before I eat, drink, get dressed...etc etc...so it's more accurate. I shot up 4 pounds since last Tuesday. I did have one bad day where I kind of went crazy on some chicken strips but other than that I've been great! ARG!!!

HOPEFULLY I'll start to drop soon. My cruise is in 2 weeks and all I can focus on is my back-fat roll You know you're having a bad day when you put your bra on backwards AND IT FITS!

It varies a bit depending on the diet/exercise routine you're doing to lose weight, mostly dependent on water. That's the reason why a lot of people thought that low-carb was working for them, when they made the switch they dropped a whole bunch of water weight. (Likewise, there will be some weight-loss routine that will result in your cells taking in more water first) - but ultimately, as long as you're burning more calories than you're consuming you'll eventually shed it off. Keep at it!

i'm sure its just water weight due to the chicken nuggets or maybe TOM...hang in there, maybe try not to weigh yourself as often, and also be sure to take measurements with a tapemeasure so you can monitor inches lost, not just lbs! we've ALL been there!

Speaking of chicken nuggets! They're only a $1 for 6 and I've never even liked them before but now they are killing me. I'm tricking myself that chicken mcnuggets are somewhat "healthy" you know... being as they're proteins... right? Either way, I need to cut fast food!

And yes, that's happened. Sometimes its because of foods I'm eating, sometimes because I'm eating "too much" of the "good stuff" and other times its because I don't regularly check my weight as much as I do on a "diet" and don't notice my body's natural 2-5 pound flucuations

You can't really trust the scale >:O I got on it this morning and it said 186.5 but then i moved it slightly to the right, and it said 183.5 which is what I weighed yesterday.. I weigh myself everyday even though I shouldnt, but seeing the .5 lbs dropping every morning is keeping me motivated lol. If you move it around and it still says the same number, just chalk it up to water weight or something and don't let it get you down! Ugh @ Back fat rolls lol.. I can feel mine when I walk and I am so sick of it!
