Well, it's weigh in day and I did check in at almost 3 lbs below my weigh in last Monday. I decided that I will adjust my tracker based on my TREND weight, which currently has me sitting just below the 1lb down mark. Doesn't look as impressive, but I think it's much more realistic.
It's snowing today. Our first winter storm warning having schools cancel and everything. I don't expect it to stay around, but I do expect it to be a messy day. We're starting out with snow, but then the temperature is going to rise. That means it'll change to freezing rain and then to rain later in the day. All in all, gross gross driving conditions. :|
Of course, all this weather activity is going to put a damper on going for a walk this afternoon. Perhaps I'll have to make a dash down the road and go and paint some pottery or something mildly creative. Who knows...
Morning! I did not get a chance to check in over the weekend, but took a min. to get caught up.....Oh, who am I kidding??? I also did not do any scheduled exercise this past weekend either, so I could not check in!
It was kind of a dreary sunday, so DH and I did some deep cleaning around the house. I am trying to convince him to help me move my computer/scrapbooking room to a smaller room and use this room as our workout room. It is about twice the size of the one where he currently has the weight bench and all of our exercise equipment would fit in here nicely, so We'll see if I can get him to go along with it...
RR~Younger man trying to pick you up, eh? That is always a nice confidence booster!!
Lauren~So sorry the baby is growing up on you, that is so hard to accept sometimes. I am always telling my boys that I am going to put blocks on their heads so they stop growing so fast, they just share the same look my sister and I share when mom says something ridiculous!
Lawrence~Glad that motivation was high on Sat, sorry for the dive on Sun, but it looks like you are on your way back up today! How nice of you to take care of DW the way you do, I am sure that she appreciates it!
DH did throw me a little *belated* b-day party sat evening. It was a nice little gathering, he and the boys baked a cake, made homemade ice cream and even threw some decorations around, it was quite a big thing for him to do. He felt terrible about forgetting, and I appreciated all their efforts, it was nice and I told him so. So, the birthday wound is healed over now.
Well, I have really got to get in the shower! For the record, I did do my Kick, Punch and jam workout again this AM, my heart was not really in it, but I did the whole thing just the same. I will try to put more effort forth tomorrow!
Have a great day!
Darcy
Happy Birthday Hugs to you Nail I'm a little slow right now....
i hope you're doin well. I made a lasagna last night. gonna have some for lunch....i think i might have to go to costco tonight after work. may as well get ready for work and get the lunch packed
have a good day everyone. i'll try to be more awake when i post LOL
I just finally caught up on the posts from the weeknd. It sounds like most are doing well.
WELCOME to the newer folks. Just jump in,,, everyone has been very welcoming to me.
Thanks to those who gave me info on treadmills. We have a"broken" elliptical right now. The display is broken and it is stuck on one tension. DH thinks he can fix it, but has telling me this for over a week... I think it is time to take matters into my own hands and just go and buy one... it's just money, right????
RX - sorry for the ho-hum weekend... mine wasn't much better. WE had people over both days for the football games. Footballl = booze=snacks=overeating=...ugh!!!
ANyway, new day, new week = new priorities. I have a salad with grilled chicken for lunch, and had a yogurt for b'fast.... here's to keeping it going.
Lauren - how do you do it?? My little guy is 6 mos this Friday, and it's already killing me, how much he is growing
OK, this is long enough.. I'll check back in later.
Well, no surprise here, I'm up .8. I WILL make up for it next week though.
Scotiamommy,
Holy, was that low fat, veggie lasagna?
Darcy, my mom always said that, and that she was going to "bind my feet like they do in China", to make them stop growing soo big! Glad DH made up for the bday! Sounds like fun!
RX, congrats on the loss!!
I'm off and running today. Picked up the police report from the accident, have to bring it to DH at work so he can fax it to the insurance company. We can't rent a car (and have the other guy's ins. pay for it) until everyone has the police report. Should know about the damage to the truck today... for a total loss.
Good Morning! Well, it's another dreary yucky day here. Yuck. I'm doing laundry and catching up everything I didn't do over the weekend! We finally got the Christmas decorations down and put away. Isn't it amazing how much bigger the living room (or where ever you put your tree) seems once it's gone? Wow.
We are getting our new office set up little by little. We got the permits (FINALLY!) and we are just waiting to find out what we have to do for heating. Once that's done, we just have the inspections. Then we can move in completely. This has been such a long, drawn out, stress inducing project. We used an Interior Designer who was supposed to act as general contractor to AVOID all the stress. Didn't work. She lost a lot of business from us. I guess that doesn't bother her. I was going to have her help with the baby's room and redoing the kitchen. Not anymore. DH would loose his cool if I even suggested in now! Whew, sorry for the book!
to the newbies! We are happy to have you here.
Uh Oh. I have a three year old having a melt down. Jeeze, what an awful Mom I am. To make him clean up the play doh before he gets another toy out! Gotta go!
Hi everyone,
Stopping in real quick for some accountability. I had a mediocre weekend, ate good about 80 percent of the time, and then there was the other 20 percent....of course the 20% is what keeps being my demon . DH and I had some friends over Sat. night, so of course there is chips/dip/drinks--and not water...and next thing I know, Im mad at myself again for overindulging...someone kick me please......
Darcy- Happy belated bday...its always nice to have someone do a little something for you though.
Lawrence--congrats on the loss..it counts just as much. Sorry to hear about the yuck weather...hopefully it don't get in the way or your workout plans.
Karen-- Thanks for noticing the newbie.....I thought those were my chats...3yo/melt down/playdoh....sounds like my house, we are just so tough on the them huh....
I gotta get back to work, good luck everyone to a new successful week !!!!
Michelle
Morning! Didn't eat well over the weekend. Not sure how I really did. I didn't write a thing down. Bad Molly! I did make some garden veggie soup to kick start things. I've been lucky being down .4 the last 2 weeks. I think I pushed things this weekend.
Lawrence, my little guy is "the man" Stevi's is "lil feller" lol. I haven't heard from either her or Christie. I did ask Christie to do another plaque for me and she answered that but I haven't tried to email her again cause I knew she was moving last week.
Lauren, sending you good thoughts for the insurance company.
Lisa, I'm here. Avoiding due to being not so good. Did ya see the snow this am?? Too little too late. I want it for x-mas only then it can go away. I hate the way people drive. they act like it doesn't snow every stinkin' year here...lol KWIM?
Hello Everyone! Hope everyone is doing okay...looks like it was an up and down weekend for everyone!
I lost 5 lbs. total this past week, so I am pretty happy! Didn't get exercise in this weekend like I had hoped, but that's okay, back on track today with walking 30 minutes over the lunch hour!
Karen, Bad Mommy making Alex clean up his playdoh. Oh I remember those days at daycare. Whew, glad I don't do that anymore.
Molly, we had snow? No I guess I missed it. Don't worry, since it was so little ~ people will drive crazy next time too. :freak:
Mib, Dont focus on the one time, also put out healthy items too. If you have to have chips the Light chips are the best, followed closely by the Baked ones. If you can that is. Pick yourself up and remind yourself that this is one LITTLE incedent and move on. Dont beat yourself up too badly ~ that starts the downword cycle.
Bag, on the loss. Doesn't it feel good to move the tracker? Keep the momentum (sp?) going.
Didn't do as well as I wanted this past weekend. In-laws were in town and treated us to several "non-diet" meals. But boy they sure tasted good!!
I must admit, I COULD have been worse...I tried to substitute when I could and skipped dessert; except for ice cream one day. I still opted for low-fat instead of regular. (baby steps, right?)
HELLO NEWBIES!!
I'll check in tomorrow....................
fondly,
fit
Well, I survived Day 1!!
I even tried new food for lunch today, and I liked it!! And, I ate an orange - Which is a major thing for me..... I despise them!!
Of course, tonight is THE GAME, so dinner won't be so good, but I still feel good about all day!
