Hello all! Today is the official start of my lifestyle change. I weighed in today at a whopping 287 pounds, my highest weight ever. I have been so frustrated by the large amount of weight I have to lose so I just never did anything(except gain more weight). Well, I have been surfing the posts and have decided to just not think about the large number and set a smaller more reasonable goal. Thanks for all the motivational and inspirational posts .....and keep them coming please!

Hello Chunky Teacher!!! I too started out at a whopping 287 lbs. We have something in common. The only difference is that I"M A MERE 5 FOOT NOTHING! So my bmi when I started this little venture back on Sept. 4, 2006 was a mind blowing 56.
3FC is a fantastic place and has been so very helpful to me. I'm sure you will find it to be the same way.
Why not check out the 100 lb. club over in the Support Groups section? There are lots of great ladies there and some fantastic motivating threads such as "My Daily Commitments". I think it gets a bit more action then this forum. Good luck to you!!!! Hope to see you around.
