The one thing that concerns me in your post is that you say you barely eat anything. Did you know that eating too little can keep you overweight? It can slow your metabolism to a snail's pace if your body thinks it's not getting enough fuel. I think you would be most successful if you forget the pills and what you see on TV and start eating enough healthy foods like lean meats (chicken, fish, etc.), vegetables, and fruits. Keep your calories in a sensible range (no lower than 1200 a day), make sure you aren't drinking your calories (regular soda, most juices, etc.), and stick with the exercise and you should see results.
