Jenny, Jetsetter, and the other newbies!

RR, Congrats on the smaller pants. That is awesome.

WannaB, have you moved yet? How's the new house?

Stevie, where ya at girl?

Sorry not much of a talker today. I had a BLT salad last night w/ Blue Cheese dressing at Cracker Barrel so I need to see how many calories that is but other than that I have been maintaining this week.

Hi All!

Happy Weekend!!

Jenny, Jet, Baglynn - Glad to have you with us!

Lisa, I love Cracker Barrel, we have 2 within about an hour of us, but neither one has very good service, or food. It's OK, but not like in the "country". Actually, it's probably better that way!

Sugar, It gets a little slow on the weekends around here.

RR, Congrats on the pants! Have fun today...I PM'd you my address!

Alert the presses, I lost 2.2 lbs. this week!!!! Without even trying!! Probably an AF thing, the hag finally showed after a week of spot.

RX, ...something about being naked under the tree?? Sorry, wouldn't want to scare the neighbors that way!! My tree got packed up last night!

Lauren, Congrats on the loss.

I found a really good website that will help if you want to keep track of Calories. It is: www.CalorieKing.com. I have an old book and am going to be looking for the new addition.

Lisa, Did you know that 3FC has their own calorie database? It's here:
http://www.3fatchicks.com/food-calorie-counts/index.php May I suggest trying it out, since the chicks were nice enough to supply it for us?

Hey all,
Glad you are all keeping up, even on the weekend. I am doing pretty good as far as the food is concerned and had an uneventful walk w/ my dog Blue yesterday. I have to make sure I get some time in for that today. RX. I saw your list on 43 things and made one myself for 2007. Thanks for that.
Lauren, way to go. I can't wait to wi on Tues. Well... maybe I can.
Sugar, good job on eating well and not giving in to temptation. I know how hard that can be at work.
Have a good day!
XOXOXOXO
Shey

I've been lurking this weekend but not posting much...super busy. I've just had time to read.

to all the newbies!

Lisa, I try to stay away from Cracker Barrell...it's so hard to make good choices there with all the comfort food they have there!

Not sure where Stevi is but Christe's internet is down and she's using mom's and moving next week!

I've been pretty good this week. I've had tons of activity points. Most of them yesterday...we went to the zoo to see the lights. Our zoo has them every year and they just keep getting bigger and bigger. I can't even imagine how many they have now. I worked there 15 yrs ago and we had over 250,000. I'm sure they're over a million by now. Anyway, dh and the man and I loved them but Andrea and Bryan could have so done withough going. LOL They're 15 and 13 and we made them go. lol Nothing wrong with a little family time right?

We're having frineds over tonight and I have recipes from the WW site that I'm gonna use.

We talked this week at our meeting about thinking of our goals that we want to set for 2007. I'm still working on this but I did buy a 10 Minute Solutions DVD. So I'll prolly start there and set a goal for working my way up on it. You all know how I just love to exercise! I also want to set a weight loss goal for the year but not sure yet what that will be. I think 1 lb per week is good but I'll be thinking more about it to make sure that's what I want to set.

OK gotta get in the shower. Make it a great day everyone!

Hello all!!!
Lauren--THe IM were wonderful and the DVD will be mailed out on Wed when the postoffice reopens..I even had them autograph it for U--The Disney CD will be released in Jan sometimes--they are singing I wanna Be Like U from the Jungle Book--but it will be fun since it has Wiggles, Bops and the others on it..Yeah on the 2.2lbs!!!
I bought the book You on A Diet and started following it with the excercise program and lost 4 lbs in a month..It is easy and makes so much sense--

MammaB--Enjoy the New Years party tonight!! WW does have some sinfully delicious things.

Have to run!!! Off to do something constructive today....
Hello to all!!!

Hi All,

RR, thanks! I can totally hear them singing that! PM me a total, and your e/m so I can PayPal you for it!

Molly, Thanks for the reminder about Christie, I knew there was a reason she wasn't here, just couldn't remember! I ordered an exercise DVD from Netflix. Can't remember the name of it, but it's a short one.

Sugar, I actually prefer Lean Cuisine and Healthy Choice to the Smart Ones. Too much sauce on them. What I usually do is add a cup of veggies to them to fill me up.

Shey, What kind of dog is Blue? Good on the exercise!

Have a great day and night all! We're going somewhere for dinner and maybe a movie...if we can stay awake!

Default new and joining in

Hi Everyone ...

I'm new to 3 chicks and I am posting here as well as couple of other forums for support.

Here's a little about me: I'm older than I like to admit and I have two little boys ages 6 and 2. I was a very successful career woman until I got married and children children in my mid thirties and that changed my life ... for the better (because I love my boys) for the worst because my life changed so drastically.

I went from traveling all over North America being independant, selfish and skinny - to being a stay-at home mom, putting everyone else before me and gaining 70 pounds which I haven't taken off.

Needless, to say I am depressed about it and in a continual downhill spiral.
I don't exercise anymore, I eat late at night, I eat WAY too much food that is bad for me and I find myself stuck in a rut.

Soooooo, I am hoping and praying that finding support among all of you wonderful ladies and gentlemen will motivate me to change my unhealthy ways.

Mornin'.
I'm reading the waist management book and it says to call someone everyday after my walk. Instead I think I will be posting on here daily to let you all know if I have walked or not. That way I know I can get and a swift I can count on all of you for that right?
Lauren, Blue is a husky/lab mix. She is our child. We spoil her rotten. But she is a lot of fun and great for the walks. I know when I walk her I wont be lolligagging around.

Mama, I made a list for things I want to do in 2007. Thanks to RX who gave me the website. I put some everyday things. Like my half hour walk but I also put some stuff on there that will make me come out of my shell a little. (skydive). I can't wait to start crossing things off. I'm really excited about it.

Hope everyone has a SAFE and happy new year celebration.
And I will see you all on here for the new year.
XOXOXOXO from me to you @ midnight.

Hey Alley,
Welcome!! I am sorta new here too. I just started midweek.
I read that a lot of times you have to start the action to get the motivation. Do you have a diet or exercise routine in mind yet? I think this year will be very good for us to get to where we want. At least to start off in the right direction. I mentioned in an earlier post that I am reading the waist management book. It is one of the best books I have read on weight loss. That and Oprah's and Bob Green's Book. (it seems like Oprah is behind everything I do these days.) I forgot the name of it. Anyway. Those 2 have really given me new habits. You might want to check them out.
