Smile Diagnosed this year with pcos and trying to diet

Hello girls.
I was recently diagnosed with pcos and I'm trying to diet and exercise for my health. I know I have a greater risk of diabetes and that scares the heck out of me. It seems like the more I try to cut back on carbs the more I have cravings. I plan to join a gym closer to my home and it has better hours so I can get there easier too. Hope to get support and give support with you all.
Happy New Year,
kristina

Welcome Kristina!
This is a great bunch of girls! I'm sure you'll find a lot of info and support here, most of us are dieting too.
It's helping me to not cut all carbs but to try to replace them with good ones. That's been working for me, that and tons of exercise!
Good luck and keep us posted!

Welcome!

What type of diet plan are you using? Are you following a strict low carb or are you just using moderation? Have you looked at South Beach or Weight Watchers?

Hopefully you will find something that will work for you. Currently I am just trying to balance my eating with carbs and protein.

Good Luck!

Default My diet plan

Well the truth is...I don't really have one. I'm not doing strictly no carbs cause I could never follow that. I'm just trying to eat low carb or only good carbs like fruits and veggies and whole grain bread. I've also cut way back on snacking and eating doing this. I just started today doing the walk away the pounds videos. But I think my cravings are getting better with my cut down on carbs. Before this, even on WW, I would eat mostly carbs! I've lost 2 lbs this week and plan to join a different gym this week too. I am a member of Curves, but never go because the one in our town has crappy hours and I don't have a babysitter a lot of the time. What do you do?
