Good Morning Ladies! I know everyone is busy, busy this week with all the holiday craziness.
I'm super busy with that, my wedding is less than 3 weeks away, and I start back at school full time. So this may really be my last few days of calm, before the storm. Really a wondeful storm though
Hey chickies... How is everyone doing? Spillthebeans i private messeged you.
Girls... I've noticed I'm having a hard time doing any routines on my treadmill with a cardio monitor. I feel like i don't have a workout at all and my hear rate is blasting throug the roof [on average around 190 even when walking/jogging]. Does anyone know what may be causing this or have any good links to articles to show me? I haven't been able to find any.
I have one more week left of work and i get a nice 1 week paid vacation and i get to come back anytime in january i want.
In other news i finally got a new camera and a $1900 lens. She's a beauty.
My first model got paid in dog treats and meat.
I'll post some more photos soon.

Well, my weight is still at 197, although I am going to re-weigh myself on Wednesday.. I think that is turning into my new weigh-in day! For some reason, Ive been doing icky on weekends the last 3 weeks.. this last friday we went to the movies. Since we got there early, we went to Uno and I got onion rings *cringe*. Then I got a small popcorn at the movies, which would have been fine normally but wasnt necessary after the friendness. Then last night I randomly ate low-fat ice cream, fat free whipped cream, a 100 calorie pack of cookies, and 100 calorie popcorn. Yeesh, no wonder my weight is staying the same... and this is why Im waiting until Wendesday to weigh myself. Here's to hoping I make my end-of-the-month goal of being under 185.
On the bright side, I did do my cardio this morning... yay!
transfrm- I run into that issue sometimes. I've been checked out because it usually accompanies vertigo (a problem since I broke my ankle), but they haven't found an answer. It could just be fatigue?
spill- you are living the little girl fairytale right now! Have fun!
Fae- If you can't be consistent in one area, being consistent in another always ehlps me. If my eating goes to ****, it's easier to get back on track if I'm working out. You will find your way again. Yay for cardio! And you are maintaining, which is always easier said than done.
Such an up and down week... I got my first speeding ticket and a couple of days later my car went on permanant vacation and left me on the interstate. I have managed to hang on to getting 4-5 days of cardio a week, which is all I can ask for at this point. Despite the bad luck, I'm still looking foward to the holiday. And the best looking professional hockey player just handed me 2 awesome seats to the Avalanche game on saturday. I love those rays of light that peak through the bad luck! Everyone around hear always talks about the Avs game and I haven't been since I was 14, so it was a welcome surprise.
So now I'm a slave to public transportation which isn't that much of a hassle. I actually look foward to the extra exercise as it's always hard to get it in this time of year and walking awlays clears my head.
Jen, sorry to hear about your car problem-I hate to hear that. You sound like you have a very positive attitude about everything. I mean, it is a choice. You can get angry and unhappy, but that never gets us that far, but you chose well. You are a trooper girl!!!! Keep smiling!
OH dear...I've been hiding
I'm going to come right out and confess...I've been avoiding posting to my blog and 3FC because I've just been eating horribly. I was on such a great path..eating well and getting in good workouts. I've been on the road for work, though, for the past month and have just been gorging myself since Thanksgiving. And I can tell from the scale too...I am up to 146, 7 POUNDS above my lowest weight! A coworker always says "plus or minus five and I am fine" (regarding weight gain while traveling). Well..what about seven?! So now I am going to take advantage of being home for the next week and a half and try to lose some of this weight. I know, over Christmas..probably not the best idea. Here's my goal - to just eat sensibly for the next week and a half and try to get back on track for when I return to Dallas (where I've been traveling to every week). How is everyone doing? Trns, I never wear a heart rate monitor because of that exact reason - my heart rate is high enough to be in the cardio training zone even when I am walking! So sorry, no solutions here...
Jen, I'm so sorry to hear about your car! I live in the city where I take public trans most places, and it's actually a great way to get in some extra cardio (walking to the bus stop, etc.)
I am going to try to come on here for the next week while I am on vaca and post, and then be better about posting when I am traveling.
Miss you guys!!
Wow, it's so good to be back! I so need some suggestions and help, especially with Christmas in only a few days! My measurements seem to fluctuate drastically, and I can never get a "proper" reading...within hours they go up or down by a few inches depending on the DAY! Even when it's not during that time of the month. I just don't understand! The other day my hips were 34, and now they are 36....I don't get it!! I measure the same spot, so that's not the problem....ARGH!!!!!!!!
Hm..Mickey I would suggest two things. First, don't measure yourself every day! Measurements are going to change sslloowly..maybe measure every two weeks? Secondly, maybe you could have your gym do your measurements for you? I know at mine I can ask a trainer to do it (if I ask nicely hehe).
hello ladies....... just a quick check-in from me!
I'm back from Memphis, and even though there was PLENTY of super-stressful family stuff to deal with, I managed to keep my eating under control. I was kind of grossed out by the thought of eating poorly for some reason.... Like my body was telling me that I needed all the strength/energy I could muster from eating properly in order to deal with all the stuff that always comes with visiting that side of the family. Of course I wasn't perfect (tell that to the turkey sanwich with avocado on a croissant I had for dinner one night!).... but WAY better than I was two years ago when I was there. Meaning, I didn't stand in front of a plate of cookies until they were all gone.
Anyway, I'll be around the next couple of days, but after that I'm off to the Canadian leg of my trip to go see friends and my fiance! It's been nearly 3 months since I saw him last.... I'm so excited!!
