Hey Kathy, don't like you sitting all by yourself.

I got a lot of cleaning done today. I'm going to have a couple of pieces of furniture touched up next week. I do I miss the work dollars.

Hi everyone, got back a little while ago from taking the kids swimming. Dinner is almost ready. I have been op for 3 days and it feels good. I want to get an estimate to do my floors, rip up carpets and sand & varnish the wood floors underneath, big project & big mess. I also need to paint my livingroom & bedroom.

Saundra I love the sink & vanity, very pretty! I just saw the pictures of your Grandsons, they are adorable!!

Vickie, I hope everything goes well for your gf. Wow, I hope Jim makes it on millionaire, I could definitely be a lifeline, am pretty good , my dh always tells me I should go on, maybe one of these day, the studio is only a train ride away.

Kathy glad Judd found his bike computer. I also sell on ebay, all the clothes and stuff my kids outgrow each season, I sold my daughters clothes from last summer for $215.00 total from 2 seperate lots, I love it.

Sandra I wish I was a fly on the wall watching you guys install the toilet, I love ricki & lucy

hi, chickies. i'm a little blue today. i'm missing my son, his wife, and my granddaughters. i can't help it. we will get to go see them in november. guess i'll just have to put on a smile now. november will be here soon.

i went to w a earlier than normal today. the class was more laid back. i'll prob keep going to the later class instead. the workouts are more intense.

nikki, i'm proud of you for jumping on that wagon. i'll bet you're feeling better already.

not much happening around here. the toilet is working. now isn't that a big report?

have a good evening, all.

It's always good news when the toilet is working! Congrats to plumber Curtis ... a handy man to have around the house! I always say thank goodness that between Judd and I, we could fix most anything that goes wrong in this house. We've un-snaked drains, repaired the toilets and the washer and dryer, replaced the dishwasher, installed fencing and landscaping and sprinklers, HE put in the Pergo in the living and dining rooms, hung the potrack in the kitchen, installed all ceiling fans ... I could go on and on. Isn't it nice to be competent?

I'm sorry you're missing your Texas family. It must be so difficult; just hang on! November really will be here before you know it!

Good morning, all! Again ... (broken record here) ... it's another 10 hour day so I'm just taking a little break to check in. I guess I'll be back later to check again.

Nothing new here except it's supposed to be 104 again today and for the next several days. They said this is the 25th day of 100+ temps.

My weight went back up a bit and is now hanging around the 142 mark and will not move. I'm not complaining because I know lots of people would like to have my "problem" ... however, it's still annoying.

Happy day!

Good Morning Chicks! Wow the board has NEVER been this quiet.

I have a busy day and it's always a big deal when I cook. It really cuts into my time here, darnnit! We watched a lot of TV last night. Jim really seemed to want the company. Lately, he hasn't wanted me to be in here for such long stretches at a time. So I'm trying to accommodate him.

Sandra, , I'm sorry you're missing your family but I'm glad to hear that the telephone call made you feel a little better. I could never have moved away from my family. I made Jim promise that we'd move back to the Southside so I could be close to my family since we lived on the Northside all his life. He moved. What a guy.

Niki, Jim and I are accepting all applications for lifelines! He's especially nervous about pop culture since we're kind of old fogies! If he gets a Harry Potter question and his audience lifeline is gone, he'll have to walk. What's your speciality. I should tell my Niece about the clothes on ebay. She always buys such gorgeous stuff from Little Me and Childrens World.

Hey Frouf, speaking of specialities, you never told me what yours is. Where are you anyway? Party, party, party? I hope you're enjoying your time with your brother.

Kathy, you're lucky that you guys are so handy. Jim and I have only office brains. I'm the more handy of the two of us but even I'm not that great. I can replace the works inside the toilet but not the whole toilet. We could never install a floor! We definitely do NOT fit into the competent category. I'm good at knowing who to call.

Saundra, I need to deep clean again too. It's been 6 weeks since I did a deep cleaning. Since then, I've just been cleaning up. It's hard work and it takes a long time. I really need to do cabinets, baseboards, and doors but Jim isn't up to moving furniture yet.

Well, I need to do my banking and then start to think about breakfast. I have an eye specialist appointment today at 1:45 and Jim has a PT appointment at 4:30. I have no idea what I'm making for dinner. I think we'll just go out to our favorite Italian Core restaurant.

I hope you all have a great day! I'll try to stop in later.

Sandra, you'd be surprised what all you can do when you try. Okay, I don't mean YOU specifically, I just mean "a person." When the dryer stopped drying, we thought about getting another. Then we thought about getting it fixed. Then Judd got on the internet and researched it, went and bought a $20 set of wires, put it all together and it still didn't work. Researched some more, bought a new part for the motor, tore it all apart, replaced part, put it back together ... and there you go! It worked perfectly PLUS we had a new set of wires! It cost less than a service call from the warranty company. We aren't the kind to hire someone to do what we can do ourselves.

Good Morning Kathy! I wish I could have your temperature but just for a couple of days. It's raining here since last night. I'm not sure what the forecast is for the next couple of days. I'd really like to get back into my pool.

We hire people because we're afraid we'll break it worse!

Good morning, Vickie! "Office brains!" I had to laugh at that, because I know lots of people who also fit that category. I guess we're lucky to have both; Judd also repairs our computers and develops real estate websites. He's awfully handy to have around if you can stand the moodiness.

And then end up paying even MORE! I hear ya! There have been times I hesitated to do things but went ahead and kept my fingers crossed.

I'm also impatient. Not a good combination. We'll never be rich (having to pay people to do it for us) but we're comfortable. I'm a good builder. I'm the one who assembles everything that needs to be assembled. I always read all instruction manuals whenever we get new electronics. I'm the one to figure out how things work. I'm just afraid of electricity and house things.
