I loved this article. I'm not sure I agree that the answer to number 4 is the whole answer. The weight gain is definitely not from muscle. However, my Internist has told me that when one starts to exercise after doing nothing for a long time, the muscles can get inflammed and retain water for a couple of days. So the temporary result could be a slightly higher number on the scale.

I hate that it always boils down to burning more than you take in!
