I would love nothing more than to be under 200 by Valentine's Day. I think I'm around 215 right now, maybe a little less. I weigh in tomorrow (Tuesday). I'm going to stick to Core as much as I can, and do better at tracking the extras. I'm going to try to get to all my trainer sessions (2x/week) and all my kickboxing classes (also 2x/week). I'm starting to increase my ellptical time as well- I got an iPod for Christmas and boy does that make it easier!

I also know that if I'm not under 200 by 2/14 that it's not the end of the world and I will continue moving forward.

tanya123 01-03-2006 05:32 PM

Two pounds for me this week. Yay! (Is this where we post it?)

Itryharder 01-03-2006 06:17 PM

Tanya,
You are amazing! I've just been on Core for two days and you've lost two pounds already. You go girl!!! :cp: :hat:

Yesterday was a great day. Today is my official WI. Although I'll be up from my last WI, I know I'm down about two pounds from my holiday high. Good luck to us all!
Vickie, good to hear "so far so good". Tanya, keep on going. You're doing great!

ontarget 01-05-2006 03:54 PM

i am changing my valentines' day goal.

my goal:

i am staying on program foodwise; i am drinking at least 6 glasses of pure water; and i am doing the treadmill.

i went to ww last night for the first time since just before thanksgiving. i was up 1.6 lbs. i took that as a victory. sure feels good.

Vickie 01-05-2006 07:06 PM

Sandra, I'm SO HAPPY you went back. You'll be ok now....water under the bridge. I know you will succeed.

ontarget 01-05-2006 08:19 PM

thanks, vickie. i'm glad i went back, too. sure feels good.

septembersgoal 01-05-2006 08:20 PM

Sandra, those are great goals. And your w/i was definitely a victory. Attagirl! :D

ontarget 01-05-2006 09:55 PM

thank you, melissa. i was surprised. guess the sf helped a lot more than i'd thought.

Itryharder 01-06-2006 09:31 AM

Sandra, Congrats on two levels: 1st it's great that you gained so little over the holidays. That is absolutely remarkable! :bravo: 2nd. I think it's a truimph that you went back to WW's because I know that being accountable to the scale means I will give it my all. Good for you for knowing what will work for you and doing it!
Congrats to all of us for posting and doing our best. I've got 4 good days under my belt now and am hoping the scale will be a :goodscale: soon.

Down 4

I'm down 4lbs out of 12 so far. I'm not weighing today. I ate too many calories yesterday and I haven't used the restroom (I know...TMI) in a while. LMBO

ontarget 01-06-2006 05:35 PM

congrats, smart. that's a great loss.

judy, thank you for your support. congratulations to you, too, for being back on track.

septembersgoal 01-07-2006 11:59 AM

I'm changing my goal to 185. I've developed a new plan!

ontarget 01-07-2006 12:28 PM

melissa, what's your new plan?

Parrothead 01-08-2006 11:28 AM

Hi I'm new to this board and the core program but not new to WW. As a life member I am only 10# heavier than when I started.:( :o

I like the idea of making short term goals. It keeps the process less daunting.

1) I will work the core program, on the weeks I have chosen to go Core.

2) I will do my streches each day, the treadmil and weights on alternateing days.

3) I WILL lose 12#

I started on Thur 1/5 and will weigh in on Tue 1/9 then Tue thereafter(mostly kinda)

So heres to losing 58# and being able to get in the saddle from the ground!!!

septembersgoal 01-08-2006 12:57 PM

:welcome2: Jill! We're always glad to have new people join us. Are you switching between core and flex?

Sandra, it's not as exciting as it sounds. And kind of long. The other night I was looking at a new book called "The Jerusalem Diet." I don't even really know the premise because I was just looking at it in the store. But I read this one section where the author described his daily weigh-ins. He said if he was over his "ideal" weight, then he would only eat veggies, fruit, seeds, and nuts that day and exercise for one hour. If he was at his ideal weight, he would eat what he wanted and exercise less. If he was below his ideal weight, he would eat whatever and not exercise. This is all keeping in mind that the next day could be what he called a "fat day" which would mean he was over his ideal weight. He suggested keeping a calendar of your weight. He said that at the beginning you write down your ideal weight for each week, which is a loss of one pound per week. So anyway, to wrap this long story up, I printed off the weight tracker from 3FC and am going to record my weight each day. I also wrote in pencil my ideal weight for each week, a loss of 1# per week. That way I can see how my daily behavior affects my weight. Does all that make sense? I thought it was kind of an interesting philosophy and thought I would try it for awhile. Of course I am not going to restrict myself to nuts and seeds like he said, but I can be more restrictive on certain days. It's interesting, anyway, I thought. Sorry for the long explanation. :D

Parrothead 01-10-2006 10:03 AM

Yes Melissa, on the advise of my leader, I plan to use the flexpoint plan on the the occasional weeks that we are planning to dine out. As a semiretired gal with a retired husband (half the money, twice the husband lol) we do not go out often. When I do make a switch it will be for the entire week.
The tough thing is I work at Subway 10-12 hours a week and subs are NOT on core plan. neither are the cookies :-(
I'm all excited... my first WI is tonight. !!!

septembersgoal 01-10-2006 10:05 AM

Jill, it sounds like you have a good plan worked out. Subway would be a hard place to avoid bread! But at least there are good salads! :D Here are some good luck blinks for your weigh-in. ;) ;) ;)

tanya123 01-10-2006 10:57 AM

Two pounds down for me this week. :D

Melissa: Everyone's so thin and fit in Jerusalem. Good luck with it! (I weigh every day and it keeps me on track. But don't let it effect your mood!)

Jill: It would be so hard for me to work at Subway. You're so strong! Good luck with your weigh-in!

septembersgoal 01-10-2006 12:01 PM

:bravo: Tanya! I still need to copy your menus and eat like you!
I think weighing in every day might be good for me. Helps to keep me on track. I know it could also affect your mood, but as long as I remember that it WILL fluctuate no matter what, then I think it will be okay. Again, great job!!

coco99 01-10-2006 12:55 PM

My Valentine's Day goal or challenge is. Just to have a loss. No certain amount just a loss. And to be following core more. And to be making better choices.

Weigh in for me are Monday eve

Jan 9 2 1/2 lbs loss
Jan 16 GAINED 2 1/2

misscelie 01-10-2006 05:27 PM

I just joined the group and am doing WW Core. Great idea to set Valentines Day goals...hummmm...let's see.....for me

1. Stick to the plan and not beat myself up mentally if I boo-boo:devil:
2. Exercise daily and not make excuses not to:carrot:
3. Drink my H2O!:D

kimberlydrn 01-12-2006 05:37 PM

My goal is to reach the 140's!!! I'll even take 149!

ontarget 01-12-2006 05:45 PM

welcome, jill. it's good to have you here.

melissa, that sounds like a good plan. one lb per week sounds really good, doesn't it? you and i have been stuck for months now. seems like years, doesn't it? i hope we both break into the next lower decade soon.

tanya, congratulations. you're moving right along.

coco, i think your goal is a smart one. mine revolves mainly on staying op and not bingeing.

hi there, celie and kim. good goals, girls. kim, who is that in the photo with you?

i went to ww last evening and had lost 2.4 this past week. life is good.

DeafinlySmart 01-12-2006 07:46 PM

Up

I'm up two pounds this week and can't figure out why. My eating is good. Went to a butt and gut class (but that's all for the week, I'm starting slow on excercise), started back to school (which increases activity). The only thing I can think of is I'm still having constipation problems. Wish it would go away, it is discouraging.
