  • Stef, great job! When I was able to exercise, the treadmill 5-6 days a week for 30-45 minutes was all I did and I lost my 45 pounds that way. Something is DEFINITELY better than nothing.
  • Stef, I am getting a bellydance video for Christmas! We'll have to compare notes.
  • or buttons.....
  • I just got home from the gym. Today's exercise was a 45 minute step aerobics class, then a 45 minute body sculpting class.
  • Okay,
Monday I exercised, but on Tuesday I was hit by a bug and couldn't do more than sleep on the couch! Hopefully I tossed and turned a lot. LOL

Well, today I'm feeling better and hope to get on treadmill even if for 30 minutes.

  • I couldn't walk my dog today because we have some lines down, and I was scared he'd want to run over and check them out.

After talking to the electric company, the cable company, and the police, I only had time for 15 minutes on the mini stepper! But I'm going to try for at least another 15 when I get home.

Update: 7pm - my wires are fixed and I did another 15 minutes on the stepper.
  • volleyball last night for hour and half
  • i didn't do the treadmill last night. i got busy on christmas cards. i'll do a mile in a few minutes today.

congratulations to each of you who are doing so well exercising. i am impressed.

Mon- 30 min with trainer, 15 min on elliptical
    Tues- 60 min kickboxing class
Wed- 30 min with trainer, 15 min in elliptical

Vickie, Thanks! -- How long did it take at that pace to lose 45 pounds? -- This is inspirational!

Melissa - which one did you get? I got Neena and Veena's Bellydancing Basics (ordered it off EBay - it should be here this week 'cuz I can't wait for Christmas!!)
This is *so* unlike me - I will probably laugh myself silly trying this! but hey, it's exercise. Besides, I can pop in the tape and do it with the kids hopping around!
  • I know what you mean. I did ballet for several years when I was younger but never any other kind of dance, even though I've always wanted to learn. I've got Crunch's Dance Party now and I'm too embarassed to even let my husband see me, and we share everything! I don't know the name of the video that I ordered, but I remember seeing the one you mentioned. The one I got was four short workouts, three of which were bellydancing.
  • Stef, it took me every bit of a year. But don't get disappointed. I'm 49 and my lifestyle is very sedentary so that was my only exercise.
  • none for me today

Vickie, I'm inspired: I've been this size for almost 6 years, but overweight my whole life. The idea that this could change in as little as a year seems hopeful to me! - And I'm very sedentary too, so this is a big change for the better in my life.
