this morning my weight wasn't too bad. i was surprised after the krispy kreme fiasco yesterday. but--i ate sensibly cept for the round things.
today i am putting myself into training for archery which means no sugar cept on special occasions as well as no caffeine. our indoor tournament season is looming close and i want to be ready. this will also help keep me focused on weightloss. congratulations, patti. i know what you mean about slow going tracker changes. i am on dial up, too. i decided to go back to just using 3fc's trackers. all you have to do is change the current weight. that's much faster--but not as cute. oh, well, it's all a tradeoff i guess. |
Well, I was brave and weighed in and the scale said 158.6 this morning. I guess I gained .6 eating all of that candy over the weekend and on Halloween. I'm back on track now though and I'm sticking with core. The damage could've been worse, and I can still lose the 5 by Thanksgiving if I keep my focus.

A pound at a time, a day at a time: Thanks P.A. because that's exactly what I've got to concentrate on. Picked up a cold and feel miserable. Have been eating soup and lots of salty stuff and my weight is up. Hopefully I'll feel much better by tomorrow and can get back to exercising. Good luck to us all! :cp: :high:

OK I was rushing so much this morning that I forgot to w/i. Oops. I will definitely try to remember to do so tomorrow. I need to keep better reins on myself. I've been trying to eat "normally" and not remain strictly core but just eat reasonably. I don't know how it's working out. :lol: I've been enjoying the concept, and doing much better than my previous "life," but I think I need to be a little more strict if I want to reach my Thanksgiving/New Year goals.
Also, next weekend we are going to Homecoming at our college. I wonder how much I can lose in a week? :lol: Maybe I need to do one of those juice detoxes. :rolleyes: |
melissa, i have that trip coming up sat/sun, too. again we're alike. i hope you get to the 180's soon. if you do, i'm thinking i will, too, since we're clones.

hey clone, I did w/i this morning and I was 191. It's so much trouble to change my ticker that I might not. Or I may later on. But anyway, all that to say that I'm getting nowhere in a hurry! I'm trying to stay op today, and sticking with healthy snacks. It's only a little after 10 and I'm very hungry, may have to eat my pineapple cup. I think I will. Hope you are all doing well.

It looks like I might be down a bit this week. I really have my fingers crossed (where have you heard that before?) because tonight is a birthday celebration here for my dh. I have decided to make a little Core dinner for myself because I choose to be thinner for my official WI. Wow, what a concept. I'll have a sliver of dessert and have some laughs and that will be delicious. Guys--I've got to make it into onederland for the New Year's! Good luck to us all. I just wanted to say thanks for this thread. I just started back on Core on November 1st, after I had a lot of luck with it last year, but slipped. And a challenge is just what I needed!

I know this is off-topic for this thread, but I took an archery class at our state-run conservation center earlier this year, and one of the instructors was a woman who had lost over 100 pounds when she started archery! It must be really addictive! (It sure was fun!) Good luck with your tournaments. :) |

thank you, tanya. yes, it is addictive. i didn't start till i retired. (i'm a retired teacher.) curtis and i are having a ball traveling around competing and meeting lots of archery folks. life is good.

Yep, I had a weight gain today at my WI and I really felt bad. However, I know this will be gone real soon as long as I don't let it get me and get right bck on track. Thanks for the words of encouragement and everybody have a great day!!!!!

I know Sandra, I was disappointed when I read that. We won't be able to wish each other a happy Thanksgiving or post our big results. But I guess that we will all be busy that day anyway. Although I'm going to count my w/i for Thanksgiving day, not the day after! :ink:

Sandra, Yes, it's possible for us to meet our Thanksgiving goals. I for one am posting my pre-Turkey weight, nekked and in the morning. (me--not the turkey). I'm sorry Suzanne has to close down our site for a day, but I feel :goodvibes: from you all all the time. Tanya, glad you're posting here and you've had a great weight loss so far. Weigh to go! :goodscale: Melissa, thanks for the encouragement :angel: and we've still got time to lose more weight between now and Thanksgiving! Yay. I was very lucky or unlucky depending on how you look at things. My blip up on the scale was extremely temporary and today I am back down to 203# (which is a pound loss from last week). Unfortunately I was up 1.2# for my official WI at WW's and I hate to see a gain recorded on my card. Must go to "perfectionist" feelings. In any case I am thrilled to be back on track on Core and ready to face the day. We still have about two weeks to work on our weight to meet this challenge and everything is possible. Judy, it sounds like your gain was just a fluke to me, bad timing. Are you feeling better? I just love how enthusiastic and positive you are.
I'm hoping to get to move my little thanksgiving challenge tracker soon. I'm really going to focus on exercise during the coming week (not as busy as this past week) and drinking water. I've really gotten away from it and hooked on more caffeine! :hyper: Which I know just causes me to need more water, so it's a bad cycle! I need to start packing my bottle and refill it throughout the day. |
Well, I'm still at 158, but that's probably due to the cookies I ate Sunday night. I'm eating really clean until Thanksgiving though. I'm still gonna try to lose the 5 pounds. I've done excellent with the exercise and eating since Monday though. I'm ready to start seeing a loss now.

kim, i love "eating clean". i never quite thought of being on program as being clean but i guess it is--especially when we're addicted to "those" other foods. i'm down 1.5 today. we leave on our bus trip to spokane in the am. i'll think of you all as sitting beside me watching what i eat. thanks for the help. i need it. |

I am cooking for Thanksgiving. So most of my meal will be Core, I have a small turkey in the freezer and I just figured out yesterday about pureeing the Cottage Cheese so that it looks kind of like cool whip, so then I can make those cool whip recipes with cottage cheese. I will probably make mashed potatoes too, and I bet someone will want biscuits.
