Default Thinking Thin Thursday Menu, 12/8/05

Oh, that reminds me, today is BIL's bday.
OK, this is not a core menu. Can I still post? I don't want to confuse anyone, but I'm just hanging on by a thread. So I'm doing what I can. And posting menus always helps. Anybody mind?

b: oatmeal (2)
l: roast beef sandwich on ww bread, lettuce, tomato, tiny bit of mayo, and some CHIPS (9)
s: cookie (4) ; celery
d: roasted chicken, baked potato, green beans (8?)
s: slim-a-bear (2)

Wow, do the points ever pile up. That's why I love core.
Let's see, on core it would be 8 points, but I probably wouldn't have brought the grahams, so it would have been less. I'm so confused as to what's best for me, but I've got to do something!

Disclaimer: neither is mine.

Breakfast: scrambled eggs from McDonalds, two sausage links, and a coke.
Lunch: hb patty with FF cheese and ketchup, light string cheese
Dinner: rotisserie chicken, salad

Another disclaimer: That's what I *plan* to have. Of course, it's subject to change at a moment's notice.

Alrighty, here's the confusing part about Core. If I wanted to stay within my points range, there's no way I could. The above is 27 points, but only 1053 calories. I need at least 1200, which would probably mean closer to 30 points. It's because there's no fiber in any of that food, and a lot of fat, so the points are high. Ergo (like that word?) there's no sensible way to do a full Flore plan, in my very humble opinion.

I could do it if I stayed all Core and within my limits, because the Core foods have more fiber, like baked potatoes and pinto beans and oatmeal, etc. But if I was going to stay all Core there would be no need to add up the points (except for the WPAs). ARRRGGGHHH! It's so frustrating. And since 20 points is supposed to equal 1100 calories (I think) what do you think those 20 points should consist of?

Melissa, what do you think?

Well Kathy, there was almost too much math in that for me to understand but I think that I'm sharing your confusion. Those points added up awfully quick but there's not much there, IMO. I guess there isn't really a way to Flore, because in reality you just end up doing core. It's all a mind game I guess.
I almost think a wendie core plan would be easier for my little mind to deal with.
OK, I know I didn't answer your question, I've just confused myself now.
