You must be soooooo proud of yourself, and you should be.....Totally Awesome Terry!!!!!!!!!!

ontarget 06-22-2005 05:46 PM

terry, that's a fantastic loss. congratulations!!!!!!! i like that article. do you think "d" might be dotti? just wondering. actually it could be about this board right here, couldn't it? i think we've all found the magic place for us right here.

Katpo 06-22-2005 05:52 PM

Deborah was the original blinker.

Now, we all know how creative Terry is ... I'm wondering what the chances are that SHE wrote the article? Hmmmm????

ontarget 06-22-2005 05:59 PM

i want to thank deborah.

hmmmmmmmmm? do you think terry wrote that article? i fell for it if she did. but you know what? i agree with every word.

aghiowa 06-22-2005 06:47 PM

As shown on the Core Story Board, Terry is an excellent writer. I am sure she came up with the article, but she did an excellent job. :cheer: She's as great a writer as she is a weight-loser. :D

Ms. Terry is suspiciously silent on the matter!!

Well, everyone has to fall and I did tonight ... HARD! I got in the car after work and there was a missed call on my cell phone. I can't have the phone at work because foreign satellites can intercept the signals, listen to conversations, yada yada yada ... anyway it's because of the security clearance. So it was from DH, like one minute prior. He and the Air Force people had been playing golf so I was surprised he called. Anyway, I called back and he said to meet him at the bar/restaurant near work. Um, okay. I went and all of the AF people were there, along with DH and his friend, and our admin. Sheeeeeesh!!! What pressure!!!

So I had a beer. And another. And another. No food except to pick the jalapenos off of somebody's plate, but still ... I think I need to move to the Arctic until the last 10 pounds are gone.

DANG IT!!!

Katpo 06-22-2005 09:30 PM

Go Sox!

You know I can say that as long as the White Sox aren't playing the Rangers!!

Vick, I hope the game was a totally fun time for you and Jim and your friends! What a great streak you're on!!

Vickie 06-22-2005 09:43 PM

Kathy, you look adorable! No wonder you have a hard time being good sometimes. You sure look like you are already at your goal.

I just got home from the ballgame. We won 5-1 and swept the Royals. Had a fabulous day but I'm bushed. I can see that I missed two pages while I was gone. I'm gonna go read them now but the first thing I saw was Kathy's picture!

Katpo 06-22-2005 09:47 PM

You are too sweet. I mean it -- TOO sweet! I just read the game highlights and you guys are on a ROLL!! Holy smoke!!

I'm glad you survived the day. It's good to be tired after something like that.

Vickie 06-22-2005 10:01 PM

I really missed you all today but it was delightful to be outside in the fresh air and sunshine! We are on 7 game winning streak and Mark Buehrle was amazing! I ate NOTHING at the ballpark. All I had was 24 ounces of water. I had my turkey burger and salad at Connie's (while everyone else ate pizza and cake). It was Nothing but Nancy Day....a special day to commemorate our White Sox Organist Nancy Faust who is a personal friend to me and Jim. She got us our tickets for today and we all went out afterwards to celebrate her day. No canned music at the ballpark today. Just Nancy and good friends. She threw out the first pitch and they had a montage for her on the scoreboard of her career. She cried....so I cried! What a silly girl I am! She's been playing for the White Sox for 35 years since right out of college. She only missed 5 games when her son was born. As Sandra says, Life is Good.

Angela, I'm sorry you hurt your back. You sound like me for goodness sake! You have to start acting more like 30!

Cher, you still sound a little bummed. Anything we can do to help? Sounds like your eating is good.

Terry, my my my! You do those blinks proud my friend. Huge congratulations :bravo: to you. I can't even express how impressed I am with you. :encore: You are proof that if one will exercise, stay on program and drink the water you can be successful. You inspire me. I'm going to have a great week next week. I don't think anything will help me for tomorrow. :(

Kathy, sorry the beer monster got you but at least you didn't eat badly too! I like to drink too but I'd rather eat. It's actually no contest for me!

Vickie 06-22-2005 10:05 PM

Frouf, what's up with that DH of yours? One step forward (the flowers) and two steps back! Sorry you were so upset this morning. Kathy is right, that is a horrible way to start your day. I hope it got better after that.

No Melissa?

I'm off to have my first taste of crustless strawberry pie. I'll talk with you all tomorrow after my highlights and haircut with my new stylist and my weigh in. I'm weighing in at noon so I can go in my pool!

Katpo 06-22-2005 10:24 PM

Hey, what a great story about Nancy!! OMG, that is such a record!! I am so glad you had a great day there!

And today ends at midnight. Thank goodness I have like 2-1/2 hours to finish my bad streak!!

Vickie 06-23-2005 07:51 AM

Good Morning! Just hopped on to say good morning before I hop on the treadmill. Hope you all have a great day. I won't be back until later tonight.

Rain situation is bad here. They say we are 2 inches below the average rainfall. We were watering our lawn but now the whole Southwestern water district has cancelled outside watering of all kinds until further notice. There is no rain in the forecast either.

Talk with you all tonight.

Katpo 06-23-2005 09:48 AM

Good morning! We need some rain too -- in the very worst way. It looks like it's going to be a rough summer all over.

The scale was kind to me this morning, very forgiving of my blowout last night. It was the same as yesterday morning, thank goodness.

aghiowa 06-23-2005 10:18 AM

Hmmm, it hasn't rained much here either. The high today is supposed to be 96. Yuck! I'm planning on taking the kids to the splash pad later, although I feel pretty cruddy right now.

They had a lot of fun playing in the soaker hose yesterday. I just put it out, told them to go play in the water in their clothes, and cleaned up the mess 2 hours later. :D

My "comfort food" binge over the last day or two showed up in my weigh-in - I was up 1.6 pounds. Not a huge deal though. It's still way below my WW goal, so I'm not in danger of losing my Lifetime. Plus, my throat is starting to hurt enough that I won't be eating as much now. Hey, a hidden benefit!

I hope everyone manages to stay cool today, and think light, cool, thoughts.

Angela
