Default Sunny Saturday menu for April 2

I'm at work (of course) and forgot my breakfast so ... here goes nuttin'!

B: a coke
L: salad and string cheese
D: going to the MIL/FIL's house to see DH's grandma before she goes back home to Kentucky. They'll probably want to go out for dinner but I plan to stick with chicken or steak and salad.

Okay, I need help:

oatmeal w/skim milk

TGIF Fridays - SIZZLING BRUSCHETTA SHRIMP
A sizzling skillet of marinated shrimp simmered in a Roma tomato-basil salsa with Parmesan potato wedges and Mexican cheese.

What do you think of that? Tried to stay away from the cheese, but what about the rest. Didn't even see they had a light menu and didn't want salad. Paying for it now though, indigestion.

What do I think? I think I'm heading to TGIFridays!! OMG, that sounds awesome!! I can't see where it's too bad though, the shrimp is good, the salsa should be good, the potatoes should be good and if you stayed away (mostly) from the Mexican cheese, you're good!

We've decided to go to Fort Worth (the inlaws) tomorrow, and are going out tonight. I know there will be massive amounts of beer consumed but hopefully not soooo much by me. If we go to our favorite bar, they have an Atkins-type special where you can get a HB patty or grilled chicken breast plus a salad. That would work for me.

Lisa, I wish I could help. I can't even help you figure out how many points to count. I checked my restaurant website and TGIF's only lists a couple of appetizers. I went there once recently with a gift certificate and was horrified at their menu. We'll never go back while I'm on Core. I asked about the parmesan potatoes and they told me the are baked in Crisco/lard type stuff. I'm guessing they tasted fabulous.

Yikes! If that's right, those potatoes aren't quite as good as I first thought. But Lisa, don't sweat it! Just drink extra water and flush it out!

You really didn't get too many potatoes. Maybe 6 or 7 the size of a lemon slice like they put in your diet soda? I think if i'm really good tomorrow and load up on the water, I'll be okay. Better not weigh myself tomorrow though, because if I'm back up, I will probably just eat all day.

Lisa
p.s. the potatoes were pretty good. Was wondering what they were cooked in.

You'll be fine, Lisa. I just wanted you to know what they were cooked in. Because from the description they almost sounded Core. If I hadn't asked I might have gone back and eaten them with the sirloin steak happily thinking I was Core!
