I made it a public group for a week or so -- and then we will shut it off to the outside world. Members can still join but it will be by invitation only -- that way we can monitor who is in (of course everyone on the board is invited, we just don't want total total strangers in the group).

I added in all activity types because I didn't want to limit us to what *I* chose. Who knows? Some of you might be interested in Wallyball, whatever that is!

So I think you'll go to "find a group". Select "Texas", then "individual" as the group type. It will give you a list of towns, and then you choose "Mansfield." Then click on "join". It will fill in the user # of the group (27057) and you fill in the date. Be sure to copy/paste so that it will be exact: Le COREdon Bleu

And that's it!!!

Ok, I'm usually really good at this kind of stuff but I can't figure out how to join the group. I used the link in this thread and can't see a "join a group" option. I cliked around to see if I could get to it somehow but couldn't. Do I need to register first?

Okay - I did it - I think - added the info as directed by Kathy - does this mean I actually have to start exercising??? ha ha ha

Vickie, try that. Register first, then go back to the link and see if there's a "join a group" button. Let me know if it doesn't work and we'll figure something out.

Vickie, if you register, you can join the group right from the registration process. I had forgotten my previous user name on that site and created a new one and I typed in the group number that Kathy gave us and it supplied the name automatically during the registration process. So I'm in too.

Did any of you look at the list of activities? What in the world is orienteering? :?:

:D Now that you mention it, Froufie, house cleaning IS on the list and yes, ma'am, I gave myself credit for 90 minutes! I feel dishonest doing it though. Clearly, if housecleaning was a good physical activity for me, I wouldn't be at my current weight! :)

I've been adding housecleaning! Maybe not all of it, but I have to sweep and mop every day because the big dog tracks in mud. It takes me about 15 minutes to do it all and it's a workout!

Anyone wanting the admin login info so you can look at the whole group, please PM me. Just because I started it doesn't mean I "own" the thing -- it's everybody's! I don't want to post the login info for the general public to see though.
