Default Whole wheat spaghetti

Well, who'd a thunk it? I made some tonight for DH and thought I would try it. I have resisted the entire whole-wheat pasta scene because I assumed I wouldn't like it. I DID! It was great! I used Hodgson Mill spaghetti and we both liked it!

Now I'm making some more to keep in the fridge, and will heat it up with canned diced tomatoes on top. This will make a great lunch and ... good grief, what was my problem?

You can have all the boxes I have tried and would buy if I like it. I find it (and I have tried just about all brands) tastes like wet dirt to me. This is one of the reasons I can't do 100% Core but due Flore/Clex

Kelly, I was all ready to hate it, but happily served it to my DH! He said hey this is good! so I picked up a few pieces that were still in the pan and they were! I don't eat much pasta anyway so that doesn't affect me being able (or unable) to do Core.

Did I do something wrong. I tried the ww spaghetti and we thought it tasted like wet cardboard. I was thinking maybe I cooked it too long or something?? I would love to like it. Any suggestions.

Ours was very firm, not mushy and the taste was good. Maybe you're right about the cooking time.

Maybe it is a brand "thing". Try Bella Terra or Hodgkins. I also make sure mine is well coated with "sauce".

I was ready to at least say hey it's not bad I can eat this but to me all of the brands available here taste like wet dirt to me. I don't eat pasta that much either...maybe 2 cups a month at the most.
