Another (Final?) Clarification from WW on Core.
The following link takes you to a thread from the WW site. Half way down the thread is a letter that is said to be received by a WW employee regarding the continuing saga of what constitutes a Core recipe. Basically it says that the original information in the week 1 booklet is correct and recipes combining core foods are core - plain and simple.
I'm not doing Core now for a variety of reasons - but this clarification would certainly make it easier for me to return to Core. I thought I'd pass it along for those who might be interested. I know that you all have found what works best for you. Some (like myself) on the other hand, might find it encouraging that WW seems to be taking the most logical approach to keeping the program simple and easy to follow. http://tinyurl.com/69vbt |
I had my leader research this and they called W/W International and the person who's name is at the bottom of this letter said she did not write it.

Hi.... just my personal experience. I talked to my leader about the recipe debate and she explained that if the recipe included all core items then go for it and just remember to keep portions in control especially with baked things. So far I have been cooking/baking this way and all is well. Like everyone has been saying... if its working for you stick with it!

I agree if it has been working for you and you can handle it then it is one thing however W/W has stated if it makes something (baked goods are a good example) that is is no longer Core. But then again if it works for you do it. :)
