Hi everyone. Dh just got a gift certificate to Olive Garden. Do any of you go there and manage to say on CORE? What should I look for when we go? Let me guess, nothing with the word "alfredo" attached to it, right? I wonder how many thousands of points the Lemon Cream Cake is worth...
I beleive they have some entrees that have whole wheat pasta or whole wheat pasta can be substituted. However remember that if the entree contains more than 1 non Core food that you have to count points for the whole thing.
I would limit the salad (the dressing is wonderful but not fat-free although they probably use olive oil) choose the chicken dish with grilled veggies (around 8 pts. I think), leave off the bread sticks and use your WPAs and ENJOY. I love Olive Garden but only go a couple times a year with friends since it's not a place my DH would enjoy.
When I go, I usually get the linguine a la marinara with whole wheat pasta and marinara on the side. Instead of the salad, I get the minestrone soup, which is 2 pts.
What is CORE at Olive Garden?
