Default I'm so excited!!!

I just started Core last week and I lost 4.4 lbs.!!! I'm lovin' it. I don't know why more people at my meeting aren't using this program. There was only one other person doing Core there and I bet there were at least 30 people at the meeting.

I feel the same way at times... why isn't everyone on core?! LOL. I know it only fits certain people's lifestyles but it is so easy for me and I can still have a big mac once a week if I want it too... how can that be a "hard" diet to follow, lol. Congrats on your loss!

Because I eat out a lot and I 'refuse' to give up full-fat cheese and breads...thus my WPA would go much to quickly...

I too love this way of eating. There is so much that is available and it can get so wearisome counting points with every mouthful!

I think more people would like it if they would just give it a chance.

I'm with you-- I was the only person at my Meeting Thurs that was on Core. They talked about making good food choices-- HELLO? When you're on Core, that's the only kind of food choices you HAVE! The whole thing was geared towards the people doing Flex who insist on blowing their Points on snack foods and such, basically telling them that's not a good way to lose.

I'm proof positive of that. I lost over 100 lbs on Points, but gained it all back. IMHO, it was in part because I never addressed my addiction to sweets and processed foods. I HAD to have my Milky Way Lites or my FF ice icream or whatever it was, thinking I was being SO good-- and then I'd end up bingeing on the real thing later. I'll tell you what, I'm approaching this now like a recovering alcoholic approaches booze-- no more sweets, no more processed junk foods. Period. This Core Plan has shown me that I can eat well, feel satisfied, and not HAVE to eat junk and empty calories. I find it very liberating

That said, I must confess that I slipped yesterday-- it was my wife's birthday and we had cake. I ate a big piece of it. Now, I had tons of Flex Points to cover it, but you know, I wish I hadn't eaten it. After 7 weeks without any refined sugar, it really didn't even taste all that good. And I had to struggle later in the evening with the urge to eat more (I didn't). Today, I was Core all the way, and I feel much better.

Daniel:

Thanks for your message. I'll remember that the birthday cake really didn't taste all that good the next time I'm tempted for a special occasion. Congrats on not eating that second piece and getting back on track the next day. That's what it's all about.
