Grapes are Core but not raisins because dried fruits have all of the water taken out of them-therefore they are less filling/satisfying. With them being dried-the sugar in them is concentrated-and with them being sweeter and less filling-you are more likely to overeat than you would with the fruit in its original form.
A 1/4 c. serving of raisins is approximately 130 calories...and a 1 c. serving of red seedless grapes (four times the serving size of the raisins) is 120 calories...so as far as filling your tummy...you can eat four times the volume of grapes for less calories than the much smaller amount of raisins.
