Core, Flex, Exchanges

  • We all have our own styles on how to lose weight, but I was wondering how different the Core plan is from the basic program WW has been outlining for the past few years (5+ fruit/veggies a day, whole carbs, lean protien, 2-3 milks, sparinly using oils/sugar). I like flex for the flexibility and that fact it works well for me, but in general I pretty much eat like that anyway since I don't do well on overly processed carbs and like most of my points to be used on better options(I treat myself once in a while). What was the exchange program like, is it like the program for diabetics?

  • Pretty much. You had so many proteins, so many fats, so many breads (included starchy veggies), so many fruits and at least 3 veggie servings a day. It worked very much like the diabetic exchanges except the protein was just that and not separated into lean and fatty meats.
