  • Just got back from lunch and I did VERY well. Moderation was the key....AND some extra points from my bank! Just dessert later tonight and fruit if I'm hungry until then. Oh yeah and all my water. I'm behind.

Hope JoJo is ok. Did I miss it? Is she on vacation or something?
  • Vicki, Jojo is on holiday for the week. Good for you for your moderation. I had Mexican food for lunch and was able to be moderate also. No cheese, few chips, mostly chicken breast and onions and salsa.

I have friends in Japan: no word from them and nothing on FB
  • Hi there. I didn't realize I'd been MIA. I've been busy subbing and keeping the grands. All is settled down now and I won't be subbing any more this month due to going to KY and also schools' being on spring break. I'm still doing well with P+. I've eaten a lot of green beans and fruit especially bananas. Just call me "Monkey MaMa."

Nancy, I hope you can get something for your nerves. Have you asked your pharmacist for suggestions? I am so sorry you and Robin are having to go through all this emotional and physical stress. Bless your hearts.

Vickie, sounds like you're in the swing of things back on program!! Good for you for chugging that water!! Now, be sure to tell us what you're cooking/baking. I need some new idea. I love your tracker, too. It looks very springy.

Maryann and Pam, Curtis and I are starting to take daily walks around the pasture again. He's keeping us a path mowed.

Ems, we don't want you to be gutted. Any loss is a good loss. to you, too. I'm loving those smoothies.

Rhonda, I like what Pam said about shaking up your calories. I am like her and don't see how you can add any more exercise. You're amazing, though; you might be able to do so.

Pam, I remind you of Shirley Jones? Thank you. I've been running in circles the last 3 days, and actually thought I'd been here. Guess that's because I was online reading posts at school. Posting was blocked on the school's compters. That's why I was just reading. Congratulations on your loss this week!!!! Way to go!

Rhonda, I'm glad you got to have a girls' day with your niece. Sounds like fun. Last night I watched a Barbie movie with Kennedy and Alexa. Alexa stayed in my lap the whole time. She is having her adenoids removed next Wednesday and isn't feeling too well. She needed some "MeMaw" time. So did MeMaw.

I've been worrying about the people in Japan today, too. So sad.

Well, I guess I'm off here for a bit. I apologize if I missed responding to any of you. Have a Terrific Friday evening. I'll be back tomorrow.
  • Hey chickies! I'm off today and all next week for spring break. I spent the day with my sister doing girl stuff. It was a good day. I'm staying pretty low carb, and I'm doing pretty well. I have Bible study leaders' meeting at 7 in the morning, then I'm off to Knoxville with my sister and niece for an overnight trip. I'll check in when I get back.

Hope you all are doing well. It's late, and I'm sleepy, so tata for now.
  • I've heard from one of my friends in Japan. He and his wife where in Tokyo. They felt it, but are OK.

I won't be around tomorrow. I'm going to a protest in Austin about the proposed cutbacks to education here it Texas. The governor has threatened the loss of 100,000 jobs in education. It is unnecessary, we have a "rainy day" fund just for times like this. It will be a long day, beginning in about 4:30AM when my niece is picking me up. We're going with her teacher colleagues from Ft. Worth.

Well, I could increase my cardio for sure. But, when I finish with a workout, I'm finished I do those 4 days a week; that leaves 3 to do some cardio. I read somewhere that we should be getting 1 hour of cardio a day. I don't think so!!!
  • Morning chicks.

Sandra, good to see your smiling face. Glad everything is okay and you were just busy.

Rhonda, you go girl. Wish I was closer, I would join in the protest. I agree, who does 1 hr cardio everyday? No one I know.

Maryann, hope your therapist can fix your problem.

    Sloan, have a good trip.

Vicki, good for you on portion control. I'm sure you will have a great WI this week.

    ems, hello back to you.

I'm watching the coverage in Japan. Can't even imagine what those poor people are dealing with right now.

Off to make breakfast. Have a great weekend.
  • Rhonda, good for you and your niece and others for going to Austin. I appreciate what ya'll are doing. I've been emailing like mad.

Pam, I am still in shock about what's happened, too. Sad.

We have some business to take care of today and will be having lunch out. I have already figured my P+. Looks like a 15 pointer.
  • Good Morning Ladies

Nothing new, but I find my left hand is now tingling less than it was before Hopefully the treatment will help.

Going down to the beach to get some walking done, and after that I will take it easy again over the weekend and resume my normal activities next week.

SANDRA-Hopefully its not windy by the beach today,I going down and see,I'm like to get a least 20 mins done today.

RHONDA-TG you heard from your friends in Japan. Property can always re build by lives can be. I couldn't believe my eye when I saw those horrible scary pictures of the disaster. It makes one think how fiery mother nature can be.

PAM-Thanks,Hopefully the traction machine will help my neck disk go back into position and relief my hands tingling.

    Have a nice day
  • Maryann, good for you for walking. Enjoy your time at the beach.
  • Good Morning Chicks! I've got a big day today. I'll be crazy busy and have eating challenges. Fingers crossed.

Praying for you, Nancy and Robin!
  • Home again, after a very long day. The protest organizers say that there were 11,000 people at the protest!

Let's hope it works. The formerly great state of Texas is an embarrassment in education, and it's not the parents, students or teachers fault!
  • Good Morning Chicks! I did GREAT at the party yesterday but slipped a bit once I got home. That happens to me often after I get home from a party because I feel deprived. I need to just get over it though. I had one small meatball, one 2 inch slice of corned beef, 1 small tablespoon of potato salad, and a 2 inch slice of italian sausage. I enjoyed them thoroughly and also ate my JC meal which I did NOT enjoy. I brought a large DD coffee with me, black and drank that while eating about 30 baby carrots and a couple of sticks of celery and a 1 tsp dab of lowfat italian dip. The deprivation was in my head and NOT my tummy.

When I came home I ate my normal dessert then made a huge mug of tea which should have sufficed. But then I ate 8 saltines with about a tablespoon of smart balance light. Wasn't hungry....just wanted them. Sigh. I'm still within my points values for the week but I've used 29 extra points (20 left). No exercise to speak of so how can that possibly equate to a loss this week?

And.....I have the Great Nephew today who would like to go out to eat for lunch. So I'm here calculating! Weigh in tomorrow.

Rhonda, I'm proud of you for standing up for what you believe in.

Mary Ann, how was the beach?

Sandra, was lunch worth the 15 points?

Pam, I haven't let myself watch the Japan coverage. It makes me weep.

Nancy, I'm thinking of you and Robin.

BBL. Gotta figure out what I'm going to do for food at lunch time.
  • Morning.

Vicki, those weekly points are there to use. Using them will not make you gain weight. I never used them, when I did WW years ago. This time, with the new program, I decided to use them and see what happens. Guess what? I actually lost weight. They are built into the program. I really need to get serious with exercise and tracking. I had a Sonic New York style hot dog with onion rings yesterday. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. Planned on tilapia, but then went out the window.

Rhonda, your protest had a good turnout. Doubt it will do any good, but kudos to you.

Anyone know when jojo is coming home? Hopefully we will see her smiling face on Monday.
  • Thanks, Pam. I hope you're right. Tracking makes ALL the difference in the world to me as it does not let me be in denial.
  • Vickie, Pam's right. And I am very proud of you for keeping track. One of my problems is that a lot of times I just don't pick up the pen then I totally lose control. Sounds to me like you did well. I did enjoy lunch at Chicken Express. I made a mistake, though. It was 18 pts. I ended the day using a few WPA's, too.

Last night I had a big fruit bowl of blueberries, strawberries, and banana. Life is good.
