Friday went great when we took my son to college.
We got there about noon, moved him in , did a Walmart trip for last minute things, had an early dinner with him and said our goodbyes..
His suite/room setup is nicer than when I was in college.

I stayed upbeat til the final goodbyes which allowed me to enjoy the time & experience.
Afterwards we went shopping and stayed at a luxury motel with a nice room service dinner & movie.
We are home tonight and its hard but I'll get through it.

Yes, Nancy, you will get through it. Your son is likely missing home also.

My day was busy with political stuff and the heat was awful. I also ate like a fool. Tomorrow is another day!

Went to brunch,my friend that fell was in church and than joined us for brunch. She's a little sore but she able to get around.TG that it wasn't as serious like we all thought it was. Now my other friend is going for contract surgery this Wednesday.There's always something when you hit a certain age.

I can't believe but is raining as I post,hope it stays that way the whole day to water my tomato plants.Still have a bunch of green one hanging on the bush.Think for next year I'm only going to buy the early girls and leave the big boys behind.

NANCY-Its always hard when children leave the nest either for college or getting married.:hug: You'll get used to it,as the ladies told you.

VICKIE-It was a very good movie,I cried at the end,as it was a happy ending.Going to look for another movie that my friend & I can see,she says it has to be HAPPY & FUNNY,but our theater doesn't show the new one until the end of the week.

SANDRA-Thanks,I'm blessed to have such wonderful friends,that half the battle to being happy,not negativity in my life anymore.

RHONDA-Sorry you had one of those days. I didn't do to good on Friday I have two dinners and in the evening for dessert a Mississippi Mudd Pie,and than I wonder why my weight is up.

You're right, Vickie, it wasn't as bad as it has been in the past. And, I've lost the weight I gained in Toronto.

I went to the gym today and was functioning about 1/2 speed though. Just an off day. I came home and did some work in the yard and now have over 20 mosquito bites...YES, 20. That's the last time without some protection on. I didn't even feel them happen.
