Maryann, I think Rhonda was saying "Heart Attack on a Bun" referring to the high fat in hamburgers.

Sloan, I hope dh's good days get closer and closer together. Now to that 4th period class--I know you'll get them settled down and ready to learn soon. I remember a trick I learned at TCU for an unruly or talkative student. I would walk over to his desk and whisper in his ear, "You know the three reasons why you shouldn't do that." Then I'd walk away and leave him wondering what the 3 reasons were. Sometimes that would work; sometimes not.

Nancy, Rhonda has good advice here for you. Keep your chin up. You're not losing him.

Hello All,

I tried to post this morning but the keyboard had gotten stuck and when I pulled on it, it came unplugged :o I pretended to be a helpless female and waited for dh to come home and fix it :^:.

This week I was waaaaaaay off program. TOM came and I was carb loading. I don't think I did too bad (except the wine) but it definitely wasn't core. My scale said I lost .4 this morning and I will take it!

Tonight we had a nice dinner (which except for the wine would have even been core) to celebrate dh's last radiation treatment :woohoo: Unfortunately the last three were stronger and have knocked him out! Now he has a break until surgery the end of Sept. So we're going camping a week from Sunday, hope he feels better.

Sandra - I was talking about you yesterday. DH and I were watching the Olympics on the Korean language channel (we got all kinds of new weird channels for the month), and they were showing archery, it was pretty interesting, but I had little idea what was going on since I didn't understand the announcers. What is the big Y-shaped thing sticking out in front of the bow? It was a re-curve bow and dh thought it was probably for balance?

Ronda - Congrats on the 2 lbs!!! :broc:

Nancy - you sound like my mom. It was 20+ years ago, but I remember how upset she was, while I was excited to go away. She learned to adjust and I'm sure you will too. Hang in there.

Maryanne & Sloan - for your dh. Mine may drive me crazy before this is done.

Paula - hope you have a great vacation.

Tracie -

Well I should go upstairs, dh was pouting because I told him I wasn't talking to him anymore because he doesn't listen, I need to go make nice :dizzy:.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Good Morning Ladies:)

Nothing new here ,except Leo is having a hard time canceling our airline tickets from United.Besides the agent being from another country and she didn't speak English, Leo had a difficult time trying to understand what she was saying. We have bought cancellation insurance a whole $241 per person, but she said Lung Cancer is not a good excuse to cancel. He tried the refund depart this morning, but there business hours are Mon-Fri. Our trip was supposed to be Sept 10,so we don't have too much time left.

When we go to the center this Monday for treatment we're going to asked the doctors to both write a letter to United and hopefully get our money back.

NANCY-Sending prayers & hugs  your way. I can relate to your story as that happened to me 20 years ago with my DD I did more crying than she did,and she was only one hour away in Pleasantville NY.You'll get use to the it,but wait until they bring their buddies home for sleep in.I remember bodies all over the livingroom floor.

SANDRA-Thanks for the reminder.Oh forget about those fast food greasy hamburgers. I try to stay away from them as much as possible but they do call my name when Leo & I go out to eat.

TECH-I get that some times with my computer [sticky keys]when its very humid in the room. I'm typing faster than it can appear on the monitor. :carrot:Congrats:carrot: on your .4 that almost 1/2 lb. you did great, its better than the other way.All my best to you & your DH.during these trying times. We all have to stick together, sending lot of prayers your way.

Have to go,will be back later

Hugs :)

Hi Chickies. Got my house cleaned and need to get my grocery shopping done. Then I'll be set for the weekend. Probably get some cooking in as I have surgery Monday and probably won't want to do much. It's only out patient and I'm supposed to be able to go back to work on Wednesday so we will see. I'm having my bladder taped up as having kids has tipped it and coughing, sneezing and running makes me feel like a kid being potty trained again. Not fun, but I'll be happy when I don't have this problem any more.

Rhonda, WTG on the maintain. Maintaining is good, much better than a gain!

Sloanie, glad things are going well for you at school! Whip that 4th hour into shape!

Nancy, you will be fine. It's all a part of life and this is something very important for your child.

Donna, keep up the good work. .4 is .4 and any loss is good!

BB, Have your husband call back until he can get someone that speaks english. I don't think the person must have comprehended what was going on. Medical problems are definitely good reasons for cancelling your airline tickets.

Sandra, where is Missoula? I've heard of it, but not sure where it is?

Hi All:

Well, it's NOT funny but I laughed when I read that the person said cancer isn't a reason to cancel. The %$#(@ it's not. The doctors will write the letter and you will get your refund, no doubt!

I know what it is to feel like a kid being potty trained, and I've never even given birth!

Yes, DH had a hamburger that should kill just by looking at it. :cbg: I almost hated him ;)

Donna, my DH said to me that I didn't listen. I said "that's right" and he will never let me forget it! It was a joke, but he'll never let me forget it.

I've done the little bit of grocery shopping I needed to do and I am going to take a nap :tired: It's a beautiful day, with no rain in the forecast, but I've been up since 6:30.

BBL,
Rhonda

Hi Ladies:)

Nothing new, & All is fine today just got up late this morning and had to make a mad dash to church.I couldn't get comfortable in my bed last night and than over slept.

Leo isn't hurting today and even got on the stationery bike for 5 mins.when I was gone.So it had to be the meds that they were pumping into his system that was causing all this pain.

Going to take it easy today and watch the final golf tournament this afternoon.Next week will be the pros championship.

Leo got on to the phone and canceled the hotel and Expedia.Tomorrow he'll call the insurance company that deals with United Airline, and see what they say.We already are getting the letters from the doctors though the social services at the hospital.

TRACIE-The idiot on the other side of the line doesn't know what she talking about. We are going to deal with the insurance company directly.

RHONDA-I can't believe she thinks like what came out of her mouth. Cancer is a very serous disease, and for now on we're going to deal with the insurance company instead of the airline.

Well see the gals some time tomorrow afternoon.Have a great evening & morning Ladies

Hugs :)

Maryann, your doctors will give United the "what for" and you'll get your refund.

Tracie, Missoula is in Montana on the northwestern side. We'll be here for awhile longer. Life is good.

Good Monday Morning All,

Well I had a so-so weekend. We had my family over for a bbq on Sat and I probably did ok food wise (although I did make a blueberry pie and ice cream from cooking light), but I had too much wine. Then yesterday we had a thing at my sil's why can't people bring healthy finger food? Or maybe it's just that I don't like the healthy stuff . Anyway I counted everything yesterday (I used 19 WPA ), and today is a new day. Next Sunday we leave on vacation, so I want to make particularly good choices this week.

MaryAnn - Good luck getting your money back. How's the hardcore going? After this weekend I'm going to have to be pretty close to that too since I used most of my WAP :o

Tracie - Hope your surgery goes well today.

I should get moving. Have a great day everyone.
