Default Weekly Challenge -- 8/4/8-8/11/8

This week -- Good Health Guidelines challenge.

As per Weight Watcher's Public Website:

Eight Good Health Guidelines
1. Eat at least five servings of vegetables and fruits each day.
2. Choose whole-grain foods, such as brown rice and oats, whenever possible.
3. Include two servings of milk products – low fat (1%) or fat-free – each day.
4. Have some healthy oil (olive oil, canola, sunflower, safflower or flaxseed) each day.
5. Ensure that you are getting enough protein by choosing at least a serving or two of meat, poultry, fish, eggs, or dried beans each day. Many dairy products are also good sources of protein.
6. Limit added sugar and alcohol.
7. Drink at least 6 8-ounce glasses of water a day.
8. Take a multiple vitamin-mineral supplement each day.

Do you follow these each and every day? I know I don't. So, our challenge this week is to have a week where we actually do all 8 each day.

Whose in?

I'm in. Not to brag, but I'm pretty good at meeting these, except for the vitamin supplement.

Also, I'm going to cut back on meat so I've got to pay more attention to protein.

Hey, I made day 1! I actually just took my multi vitamin and I got in 2 servings of dairy. These are the two I usually fail on.

I'm out for this one as I will be camping Wednesday through Sunday and even though I have a lot of core food packed, I am not going to be completely core. But I will be getting in more exercise as we are brining our bikes and will probably be riding bike a lot. We are taking my dbf's 8 year old dd and she loves to ride bikes. Good for me, I'll get in some exercise this week.

We're a tough group here Sunshine

OK, I did well today...even took a multivitamin! Could have had more protein.

Just trying to help, GF! My one great success lately is that if I have a bad meal or a slip, I try not to let it go beyond that one meal or slip. It really does help.

I've always wondered....is five servings of fruit and vegetables, five of the both combined, or five of each which is really 10?

It's combined. Shouldn't be too hard, right?
