Hi everyone. Too bad the past 2 weeks of postings are gone. Hope all is well with everyone. Things here are OK, eating is good. Weather is cruddy - cool and rainy. Its supposed to get into the 90s tomorrow, its just barely 60 today. We'll see.

Thanks for the new pages, Paula. I might trade weather with you. Here in Tennessee it is 93 degrees and the humidity is so bad we call it "air you can wear". Unless you are at a pool, you don't really want to hang out outside.

I made the Cajun Pasta recipe that was posted , and it was awesome.

I can't believe the past two weeks are gone! Oh well, we'll just have to fill up some more. Okay everyone post, post, post

BBL gtg make some Sloan

Found a new recipe on the WW site today that I'm going to try at my cookout on Sunday.

Buffalo chicken burgers
Mix 1 1/2 pds ground chicken with 1/4 c hot sauce, s&P, 2T ranch dressing powder. Divide into 4 portions, for each portion make 2 thin patties. Put 1tsp blue cheese crumbles on one pattie, cover with the other and turn into one patty (stuffed with the cheese inside). Do that to the other 3, grill until done. Top with more hot sauce if you want.

I'm going to see if I can find low fat blue cheese. Either way, I'll count those points. Not sure how many, if any 1 tsp of cheese will be. I'm going to also pick up ff blue cheese dressing to go on top like mayo.

I'll let you know how they come out.

Those burgers sound yummy! I came up with something very tasty today. I had made the cheesecake dessert from the board, but I thought it tasted a little bitter so I had only tasted it. Today, I put a couple of tablespoons on top of a piece of carrot cake and it was delicious. It tasted like cream cheese frosting with pineapple in it!

How are the rest of you chicks doing? I'm stayin' op, and according to my scale, I have lost a total of 7.5 lbs. I'm just waiting to wake up from this dream. Core has been so great and so have you chicks. I posted last night, but it got erased, that I have not been to wi for several weeks. In the past I would have already been eating like crazy, but being able to talk to you all has kept me more motivated than if I had actually been to meetings.
Sandra and Paula-how are your special guys? I'm still prayin'

Can't wait to hear from everyone! Sloan

Sloan, my brother's surgery is June 17. He's about the same right now except for being nervous. We are all nervous about his operation. Thank you for your prayers.

What happened to the other posts? I guess I'd best scout around to see if I missed something.

I just read Suzanne's post about the lost threads. I really appreciate all she and the others do for us. I like what she said about this opening up a new start for us.

Thanks for the info, Sandra. I'll be praying for peace for you and your family. I'll pray especially for him and the doctors, hospital staff, etc. on the 17th.

Sloan, that's a mighty fine looking weight tracker you have there. Congratulations on having your weight where it is. I am envious.

We're up early this AM. Curtis has gone to the men's prayer breakfast. I'm been puttering around in the yard. I've already seen redbirds and hummingbirds. Just finished a juicy red apple for bfast. Life is good.

I like your weight tracker Sloan. When is camp week??
I lost the weight tracker I set up because I set it
up in the last few weeks I guess.
My son graduated last night and I am so proud
of him . I had a long post that got lost about how
he has stuggled with ADHD/step parents/ a stong willed personality and finished with honors anyway. God had been so faithful to him and our family through alot of personal struggles in the past 18 years and graduation is a time to reflect on how God has brought us through during some tough times !!!.

We are going to the beach for a week and I am leaving my laptop at home so I am not tempted to check emails ect.
I will be back on the board next weekend.

See ya
Nancy

Hi everyone. Things here are quiet. DD has a friend over adn I'm getting ready for a core bbq tomorrow. Made core baked beans, core potato salad, have corn, shrimp and steak ready to go tomorrow. Also the buffalo chicken burgers. I may grill up some polenta slices and serve with guac and salsa. My niece who is coming is also doing core. She is bringing dessert. I will have some wine or beer, but I'll count points for that. Its hot today, and will be hotter tomorrow. Good day for a bbq.

Dad is doing ok, he had swallow test yesterday. He was able to swallow but is aspriating. I guess its a step forward as last Sunday he couldn't swallow. He agreed to a feeding tube in his side rather than his nose. He hates that one, keeps pulling it out. They'll do that Monday and then we'll get him moved to a rehab hospital. No rehab is being done, they are keeping him in bed. This is driving him crazy. It will be a boost to his mind getting out of that hospital. I pray it will be Tuesday.

Nancy, God has a plan for all of us. We just need to follow His lead to get through. Have a great vacation!

Sandra, Keeping your brother in my thoughts and prayers. I assume its a known doner since its planned. I forget, are you in the new house yet?

Well, got to find something to get for dinner. Its too hot, its take out night. There is a local pizza place with a fabulous salad with steak tips on it. BBL

It sure is good to see those posts! I think I am getting dependent on you chicks. It was so quiet the other day when the board was being "fixed".
Nancy-congrats on your son's graduation! I don't know if you remember, but my son graduated this year, and like yours has struggled with ADHD since he was 4 years old. Although he did not graduate with honors, he took honors classes and graduated with a 3.2. It's true God does bring us through the tough times. We laughed at Eric's graduation about how we thought he would be in jail by now instead of graduating. Camp starts this Saturday, so when you get back, I'll be gone for the week. Hope you guys have great time at the beach.
Paula-hope your dad is more comfortable with the new feeding tube. Maybe his swallowing will improve soon; I'll be praying. Also, the bbq plans sound great!
Sandra-I enjoy looking at the birds, too. We also have turkeys!
GTG fix dinner. TTFN

Hi ladies! Whew, we managed to get through today. It was our first day of summer vacation, and I took the girls to the pool this morning. They had a grand time, and were so happy to finally be able to go in instead of drive past the pool. In the afternoon, we had our Grand Opening Celebration party thing at the frozen custard store. It went really well, and business has been booming all day long. We went through all the special flavors we prepared, and there was a LOT.

It is my goal to get back on track this summer and also to spend more time with my girls doing fun stuff. So far, managed both of those goals for today.

I'm off to make some banana bread, since I have quite a few bananas that are past their prime.

Later ladies!

on the successful opening, Angela! Sounds like it was a great day.

How old are your girls? When mine were little, we took "mini field trips" , and then made journals. The kids really enjoyed it. They are 21 and 18 now, but we still talk about the field trips and the fun we had.
Do you have any core/low point frozen custard? I would have to have some if I were in the store a lot.

Hope all the rest of you are having a great evening.
