Hello Everyone!
...So, the challenge then is to increase our activity by 15 mins 3x/wk and to try to be strictly core for 5 days? OK, I'm starting right now! Niki: Welcome to the group. Everyone here is fabulous and you will find a ton of support! |
Mornin' everyone! Is today the day we start the challenge?
|
For this week's challenge (we have 5 days to meet it -- I figure run a challenge each weekly board).
Increase your daily exercise 3 times this week. I walk 15 minutes every day as it is, so I need to find some additional work. I'll start a separate thread for it as well. Keep the idea's coming, next weeks we'll do 5 hard core days. |
Morning ladies, thank you all for the wonderful welcome. This time around I am really determined to get rid off all this excess weight.
|
Thanks for starting the challenge thread, Paula. I'm excited :carrot:
|
Hey Niki. Welcome home!
|
I posted the Greek Chicken recipe this morning. I need to find the cheesecake recipe I made, not sure where I found it. Stand by....
|
Thank you Vickie, how are you and Jim doing, I hope all is well.
|
Found the cheesecake recipe - I posted it. I did not get it from this site, so its a new one!
|
Paula thanks for the cheesecake recipe, it sounds yummy, I am going to have to make it this week.

Sloanie, did you ever see the fiber one cookie recipe? This is awesome, and only 1 point per cookie. And they definitely help with your chocolate cravings. Just don't go overboard.
Fiber one cookies 1/4 cup chocolate chips 1/4 cup peanut butter 2 heaping cups fiber one cereal(the ones that look like twigs) Heat chocolate chips in microwave for 30 seconds, stir and put back in for another 30 seconds. Continue this until you can stir all the lumps out. Be careful not to burn. I usually only have to put in microwave twice. Add peanut butter and stir until thoroughly mixed with the chocolate. Add the fiber one until coated. Spray cookie sheet with pam. Make into 18 cookies, which will be 1 point each. Place in freezer until they are frozen. Once frozen, put cookies in ziplock bag and put back in freezer. If you don't keep them frozen, they get melty and fall apart. This recipe can easily be doubled. These are wonderful. I am game for the challenge. I will start today. Thanks for posting the recipes Paula. I will have to check them out. I love new recipes! |
The fiber one cookies sound heavenly. I will make them on a day when I have lots of people around so I don't eat too many.

Hi all! So we've got some massive flooding here in Cedar Rapids Iowa right now...it's way worse than in 1993. We are expecting the Cedar River (which runs straight through downtown) to crest at 24.5 feet on Friday. Flood stage is 12 feet. In 1993, it was at 18.9 feet.
I am putting in a pic of downtown from this afternoon. http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g2...T/DSC00055.jpg We should be fine where we live, since we are far from the river and are on high ground, but I'm not sure about power and water quality for the next few days. I'll keep you all posted. Angela |
Oh Angela, how scary and awful. My prayers and good thoughts for everyone there.
|
Angela, that looks pretty scary! Good thing you are on higher ground.
Well, as I predicted, I gained 2.4 pounds this week when I went to ww tonight. Oh well, that's life. I'm back op and will continue to be that way. Now I'm 3 pounds away from my 30 pound mark. But I will get there. Sloanie, you will love the fiber one cookies! I have also substituted the chocolate chips, for the chocolate caramel chips, which have the same nutritional value as the chocolate chips. They are good both ways. |
