Default I have a question...

Hi everyone. Im thinking of joining WW tomorrow and I am a middle aged lady (61) and was wondering if there are anyone else in my age group here that is successful with the Core plan. I want to try core, but afraid I can't lose with it and I suppose I will start with Flex first and see how that goes. Anyone that can give me some advice on which program would work for some one my age would be most helpful...thank you...barb

I'm 51, Barb, and it works for me when I follow the program and do what I'm supposed to do. I love the freedom it gives me to not weigh and measure. You will have to be able to stop eating at your satisfaction level which isn't the easiest thing in the world for me. Not impossible, but not easy. i also find that one must drink a lot of water on Core to wash through all the fiber. It is a very satisfying program because all the food on it are dense and filling.

I lost 45 pounds in 6 months on Core. I haven't kept it all off but it wasn't the program's fault. I lapsed into some old bad habits. I recommend the program highly.

Come hang out on the weekly thread with us. You'll get lots of good advice and suggestions.

Good luck. I'm going to my meeting now.

I'm 62 and think that Core is a good way to go. Really though, I do count points because otherwise I would eat too much, I'm sure.

Age is a factor only in that it seems to be harder to lose weight. But, I absolutely believe that if you are serious about eating good foods, ignoring junk, and moving more, you'll lose weight.

I've lost a significant amount, gained some back, and am now struggling to get it off and more. Any lack of success is my own responsibility, not the plan's. I'm sure of that.

I join Vickie in inviting you to the weekly chat...you'll meet a nice group of people and get some good ideas.

Thanks for your advice and yes I will hang out here. Looks like a great board for support. I think I will do core, but count pts because I love food and have a tendency to eat to large portions sometimes. I don't know if I could stop at satisfaction or I don't trust myself at this point...thanks a bunch..barb

I love core. I did flex the last time I joined ww and I also love the freedom of not having to weigh and measure. You still need to watch your portion sizes or it won't work. Eat until you are satisfied and it works.

I am 50 and just starting the core. I like that it seems healthy. I tried the atkins with my husband and not being able to eat fruit was a big turn off!!
I am impresssed at all the possibilities on this diet/I just hope I lose on it.
