Good morning all! It's a grey, snowy St. Patrick's Day here for us, and my kids are sleeping in. I have to go wake them up soon, or we won't be to school on time.

I have a very busy week ahead of me, but I'm happy because my house is relatively clean after a herculean burst of productivity from the family yesterday.

My poor sister (the one who recently found out she's pregnant after trying for 2 1/2 years) is having bad morning sickness. She has my sympathy, but I'm really glad I'm not her right now.

Well, I'm off to find the girls some green clothes.

Later!

Thanks for the pages Rhonda! Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

Vickie, I'm so glad that you finally have some answers. NOW, you can focus on making changes to improve the situation. Keeping you in my thoughts. A hiatal hernia is not something my sister's Drs have been looking at - hmm, need to mention this to her. She still has no answers and will be doing more tests.

Things here have been going well. I'm not looking forward to wi this week. I knew too far in advance last week that I wasn't going to be able to attend the meeting and wi. That was my "pass" to eat what ever. I did try to stick to core, but non core things found there way in. And of course, I did not write down anything. Today is a new day. Back to it. I guess if I have a gain this week it will be my motivation to stick to it and write it all down.

Ann, WELCOME to the group and happy birthday!!

Well, off to get some work done. Short week for me this week as Friday the NYSE is closed. WOO HOO. That give me time to get my house together for Easter - having DHs family over. There will be 11 in total for dinner. My first big sit down meal. BBL

Morning ladies,

I had a busy weekend and I can see that the board has been busy as well.

Melissa- I am a diabetic aslo and I have been for some years. That is one of the reasons I love the core plan it has really helped to bribg stability for me. Eating Core I have been able to stay within the normal ranges and also I have been able at times to come off my meds.(oral) Usually it is durng the summer when I am walking alot outside. This year I brought a treadmill for my birthday and I have been faithfully using it. You will be just fine t just takes time but you can do it.

Vicki - I wish you the best in adjusting your diet to fit your needs. I'm sure you can do it you are a determined woman and that what I remeber about you. Look at how you have stayed on Core in spite of the many challenges. I'm cheering for you.

Ann- Welcome glad to have you here.

Angela _ it is very gray here as well. I think I got too excited with the 2 warm days we had last week. But I'm glad spring is on the horizon.

Paula - I hope you have a great week. I slipped myself last week in writing things down. Today is a new day and we can do it.

Well ladies I hope everyone has a great day. I will try and stop by later.

Hi there, Chickies. Faith and Begora It's a fabulous St Patty's Day. We're sitting here waiting on the thunderboomers to get here. We're under: flash flood watch till 7 am tomorrow. Maybe Curtis' new pond will fill?

Rhonda, thank you for the new pages.

Angela, I'm glad I'm not , too. That's something that's definitely for the young.

Vickie, how's your day?

Ann and Mercee, I'm so glad you've chosen to join us.
Got to go. We're watching the weather on TV.

Hi everyone. Just popping in to see what going on. Quiet here! I am going to wi today - I think I'll be up a bit but not as bad as I was thinking. I did debate skipping this week, but I would not be as dedicated to plan if I did. So, I'll go and take what the scale says. Nothing I can do to change what the number will be.

DD is having a freind over at noon - so I'll be busy. Funny at this age(5) either they need constant assistance in what they are doing or I don't hear a peep from them. I'm hoping they are upstairs playing all afternoon. Then I can be downstairs and get some things done.

I have a new recipe in the crockpot - Chineses pork. I sliced up a pork roast to thick slices and put it in the crockpot. Then mixed ketchup, onion, garlic, ginger powder, soy sauce, water and 2 tsp splenda brown sugar. Smells yummy. dd helped and she may try it! She had asparugus last night and loved it. Its great when she trys new things. DH won't but she will!

Be back after wi.

Well, went to wi, gained 1pd. I really thought it would be 2, so I'm actually happy. The meeting was good - it was about being accountable to myself. I made a pledge to keep my journal for 5 of the next 7 days. Lets see what that does.

Take care.

Hi Folks:

I took time off from work today to take my ex's niece to the specialist for some medical tests. It seems that her GP's secretary told her that the tests were today, but it was only a consultation. BUT, the specialist heard her story and scheduled the tests for tomorrow. Of course, she is now frantic with worry. It is some GI problem. Her father died almost two years ago of esphogeal cancer, so she is now convinced that whatever she has, it is cancer. Poor thing is so terrified. Well, I would be too, especially at her age with two young children.

My eating has been good today. I haven't been very hungry. I also walked a lot.

We have very damp weather, with wind blowing. Chilly to the bones.

Sandra, did you get flooded?

Have a great night all,

Rhonda

Hi Everyone
Just checking in.
Raining here. And some areas are in a flood watch until tomorrow evening.
Thought I was getting over my cold. But it seems worse today. So hoping it isnt getting worse.
Hubby is doing better.
Went to weigh in last night. Only lost 1/2 a pound.
Well I am going to go and catch up on everyone.
Hope everyone had a good day.
Thinking of everyone.

Did we get flooded? Oh, yeah. We are watching 2 different reports on the weather channel. One says we've had over 11" and the other 2" . Our new pond is overflowing! I got scared earlier and shed a few tears. Now it's dark and I can't see the water that's all over the ranch. I don't know how much rain we've actually gotten, but I'd say it's well over 2". It's supposed to stop raining by morning.

MY nerves are shot. My eatin'gs been out of hand.

Rhonda, I hope your niece is all right. I'd be worried, too, if I were her.

Paula, 1 lb isn't bad. I'm proud of you for going to the meeting.

Coco, congrats on dropping that half pound. I'm sorry you're still ill.

On the positive side of all this rain, our new plants got well watered.

Aw, Sandra, I'm sorry you're in distress. Those thunderstorms can really make an impression!

Have a great OP day everyone. I'm off to work and then to help my niece.

Good Morning Chicks! Oh boy am I running this week. I hope you are all well.

Sandra, I'm worried about you and am thinking good thoughts for the rain to stop. I can hear the fear in your voice.

Rhonda, don't work too hard. Congratulations on being on program.

Hang in there, Angela.

Thanks, Mercee! I guess I'm too stupid or stubborn to give up.

Paula, I know you're relieved to have gained less than you feared. Back on program now with you.

I'm going to hop off of here now since I've got a million things going today.

Hi All:

Not doing too badly here with the food part of the plan today. Hope you're all OK too.

My niece just has ulcers, probably the type caused by bacteria. If that is so, there's an effective cure. That was good news, to say the least.

We have a grey day here, the last day of winter. I'm more than glad to see this season go!
