  • Lytricia, baked core items has been a hot topic since the beginning of Core. WW itself had trouble deciding but I think the final verdict was something to the effect that if the baked goods were not red light foods then they were core.

Coco, I applaud you for going to WW to WI. I didn't go today. Nuff said.

Vickie, I had a pain ball when I had my foot surgery. It's wonderful. I am so glad Jim's surgery went so well.

    Rhonda, I love your spunk.

I'm going to cleburne.net now to check out the indoors pool. I may go swimming tomorrow.
  • Jim had a great night but I didn't. I kept waking up to check on Jim....who was sleeping like a baby! Anywhooooooo.....we got at least 5 inches of snow and it isn't done yet. My GF's husband has a plow on his truck so I think he's coming to take care of us later.

Gotta go walk the dog and get the papers. So far I'm on program because I haven't had time for myself yet. Maybe this will be a good diet plan.
  • Vickie, you're a busy chickie for sure. I'm glad you have someone to do your plowing. That's too much and too dangerous.

I'm on program today. I'm going to start posting my menu in the hops that that will keep me eating what's best to get me to goal.

  • WE GOT SNOW!!!!
We have gotten about 5 to 6 inches. And some more to come. About another 2 to 3. Just hope the power dont go off.
VICKIE Glad hubby is doing good. Take care of you.
ONTARGET Glad you are on track. That is good. Now I just have to get there.
P.A. I know I cant believe there is only 20 days until Christmas. I havent even gotten any shopping done. Had thought about going tomorrow. But will have to wait and see how the weather is. And I need to get started addressing Christmas cards. But I need some stamps. But I guess I could go ahead and get them addressed. Then get the stamps later and put them on.
Well not much happening here. Hubby is doing a little better today. So hopefully he is on the mend.
Well I am going to get off here for now.
    Hope everyone is doing ok.
    Thinking of each of you.

  • Hi All:

20 days you say. Can you believe that the university is not closing until Dec. 21st! Heartless, heartless I'll tell you.

I think posting the day's eating is a really good idea..thanks for getting us back to it, Sandra...I'll start tomorrow and that will help me. There is food everywhere!!! Yikes.

OK, baked goods. You know, if you use WW flour, throw in a lot of bran, use unsweetened applesauce for the oil, use liquid eggs...etc, by golly, I'm calling it Core...if THEY don't like it, tooooo bad!

We went to a dramatic reading of Dickens' "A Christmas Tale" at the university...really good...we had to leave before it was over because it was getting late and the chairs were killing my back...but, I thought that you might be interested in this:

The Canadian Broadcasting Company (CBC) is sponsoring reading of Dickens' story all over Canada and $$$ is being raised for charities...really nice idea. SO, I was thinking, why not look around in your own community and see if there are places where the story could be read and money raised!! You've got one year to organize it!

Reallly good idea... we could raise money for school feeding programs, or health programs that promote healthy eating!!!! Now don't tell me that you have too much to do already

    Rhonda
  • HEY!!! Where's everybody??? Out Christmas/Hannukah shopping??
  • Hey Rhonda...I'm still around but working like a dog! The place that I work at underwent a huge renovation and just re-opened on Monday and I have been crazy busy! For a massage therapist working 20-25 hours a week is considered big because it is so physically demanding, and I have been doing at least 6 hours a day everyday. I will only get Sunday's off from now until Christmas.

So I will pop in when I can. I'm just on a break now and have to do two more hours tonight.

The good news is...with all this hard work I don't have to feel too guilty about not exercising!

I hope all are well and I hope all the sick husbands are coming around too. Talk to you all soon
  • Hi Everyone
Well we didnt get anymore snow last night. But got some cold weather. Was down to 3 degrees this morn.
Was going to go shopping this morn. But the roads were still kinda bad. So stayed home. Then when son came home. He took us out to eat. And I got to make a couple of stops. But I need to go and get the Christmas shopping done. I havent gotten anything yet.
Hubby is about the same as yesterday.
VICKIE how is your hubby doing. Are you doing ok.
Well I am going to get off here for now.
I am thinking of each of you.
    Stay warm everyone
    coco
  • My goodness the board is quiet.

Well, if I write down my good intentions it will be easier to keep them.

    So far:

    oatmeal, banana, lf milk

Lunch: going to be difficult because I am going to an office party...I'll do my best.

Dinner: soup and salad....very light because I want to cut the calories during the weekend.

I'll also do some aerobics today.

I wish you a good OP day.

    Rhonda
  • I'm here! I couldn't be busier or more tired. I woke up at 4:00 and couldn't go back to sleep. I've been running all day. I just finished making banana oatmeal muffins so I could stay on program.

Later tonight....or first thing tomorrow I have to disconnect my computer and reattach the new one that was delivered by Dell yesterday. Joy oh joy. I'm not staying perfectly on Core but I'm being very careful about my portion control. Jim is doing ok although the home PT exercises are hard and hurting him. No more appointments though until Monday. We are bracing for more storms, ice and sleet on Saturday night into Sunday morning. I shoveled this morning because it was about an inch. I thought it would not be a problem but I'm more out of shape than I even knew. Note to file!

I hope you are all on program. No Sandra today. She's always here even when she's busy or struggling to stay on program. She is such a positive force.
  • I'm here. Things have been very hectic; plus, I fell yesterday and busted my buns. I had on socks; had laundry in both hands, and hit the edge of the carpeted step too close. I couldn't brace myself at all and hit hard. I didn't break anything but I am very very sore. I don't think this helped the arthritis in my hips at all.

We're going to another small town in East Texas tomorrow to compete. Sunday we're going down near Austin for another competition. I'm hoping I'm not as sore. But if I am--oh, well.

Rhonda, I need to get back writing down. I wrote for a little over half a day then fizzled. It honestly helps--when you do it.

Vickie, I'm sorry Jim's in pain, but I'm sure he'll get better quickly. Who did you get to do the shoveling? I am proud of you for doing well eatingwise. I need to get more serious.

Coco, are you going shopping this weekend? It doesn't seem like it's almost Christmas, does it?

Lytricia, your schedule must be exhausting. You're going to have a good weightloss.

My buns are burning. I'll be back later.
  • Hi Everyone
ONTARGET How are you feeling. Glad you didnt break anything. You will have to take a long nice hot soak in the tub. Good Luck with the competitions. I am sure you will do fine. No I wont get to go shopping over the weekend. But maybe the middle of the week I can.
VICKIE Sorry hubby is in pain. You be careful out there shoveling snow. Good luck with the computer. Take care of yourself.
TEJAS I need to start writing down what I eat too. But just havent done it. Am hoping by getting the new material Monday. Maybe that will help motavite me.
I am thinking of each of you.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
    coco
  • Hi All:

Vickie, I hope the new computer works well for you....I did some snow shoveling too and realized that I am NOT doing enough with the free weights!

Sandra, have fun at the competition...I hope your pain doesn't impede your performance!

    Coco, yes write it down...

So, I did great at lunch. I had chicken and salad. I ignored the cakes, cookies and candy completely!!!

Then, someone put shortbread in front of me at a meeting. But, I didn't eat much of it, so that's good.

Dinner was soup and salad, followed by lf yogurt.

    So, today was pretty good...

    Later,
    Rhonda
